Usually, it's low compared to other branches, However, if you study well and have no backlogs, then you have a better chance to seek jobs.

The faculty of the department has good teaching skills.
Placements: Placements of the college are good for Computer Science, Information Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning departments. Whereas, the core companies for the Mechanical Engineering department are less. All the companies that come for hiring mainly focus on the IT sector.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course is good for Mechanical Engineering and around the department. They maintain a clean and well-organized course. The hostel is not so good due to the faculty who is in charge of the hostel. Now the faculty has changed, and the hostel is good.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-educated and able to teach very well, clarify the doubts of the students, and explain all the modules of the subject to the students. Exams are well organized in a neat and efficient manner, with a lot of checking and 2 faculty members in charge in the exam hall.

Everything is good but my big suggestion is about one club to change the students.
Placements: Still, I have not been placed in companies but for our branch getting a job is a little difficult so we have to wait and then we will get a job. I suggest to learn some IT language programming for the safe side and then you can jump into either of the courses.
Infrastructure: I am not in the hostel but our mechanical engineering department is so good that we have a separate block for mechanical which is big and has a spacious quadrangle where all the events used to happen in that block. It is nice to see from the top but our old HOD was a little strict.
Faculty: Passing the semester is quite difficult because we are from lateral entry so it is difficult to understand and learn quickly. We have to take time to adjust later on it is easy to study and in the final year Rs. 5,000 is taken extra for graduation fees something and all.

Should you join RNSIT for mechanical engineering?
Placements: You should have no backlogs and must maintain an average CGPA of 7.5 to secure a promising placement. Often, students receive job offers from RN Motors, which is an advantage. Top recruiters include Honda, Tata RN Motors, and other reputable brands. Students also have the opportunity to work as interns starting in their second year.
Infrastructure: The mechanical block is one of the largest in RNSIT, featuring well-developed labs. Each classroom is designed individually, and the Wi-Fi works perfectly. The hostel accommodations are not the best; they are poorly maintained, and the food is lacking. The hostel timings are quite strict and can be inconvenient. Overall, the hostel infrastructure is below average.
Faculty: Exam, notes, and study wise, RNS is one of the best and finest colleges. Teachers provide proper notes to students, and notes are prepared so that students can study easily without getting confused. Internals are kept once every month. Semester exams are quite easy if the student reads a bit. The syllabus is crafted specially for each branch.
Other: The crowd is not that great, there is no diversity in the college, so many students feel left out, however, there are multiple clubs ( technical and nontechnical and cultural) offered by the college and you get a lot of opportunities to grow. The college also provides extra classes to learn different languages. Infosys springboard training is offered by the college to the students for all years for free.

The college is totally good for students' studies, and it is also good for achievement in sports.
Placements: The college has good placement facilities, and every year students get placed in various companies. Every year 60% to 70% of students get placed. The placement team is working well for students. The main companies are Amazon, Oracle, Bosch Pvt Ltd, IBM, Toyota, JSW Steel, TCS, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is excellent. It's a totally beautiful campus with all facilities, a good canteen, and they provide good quality foods. No ragging on the campus, and sports grounds are good and provide all sports facilities. The hostels are good, and the hostel provides good, healthy food. The library is also good with all facilities.
Faculty: The exams are held by the VTU board. The exams are in every sem, conducted in college only, and also 3 internals are also there. Faculty members are good; they are teaching very well, and facilities give instructions to pass and score in exams. The curriculum is also good with all facilities.

Totally satisfied with the college and enjoyed every moment here.
Placements: Every year, there are good placements, but this year due to recession, companies visiting have become less but placements in RNSIT are still very good. Last year also there was very good placements rate, but this year the placements became less. Hoping next year, more companies visit.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure has improved in the college over the years. They have built a new library and a new canteen which is kept very hygienic. Our department has all the types of facilities and machines which are related to our course.
Faculty: The faculty is very helpful, they help us if we have any doubts. Their teaching is very good and they prepare us for the exams. The teachers are well qualified and they know everything about the subjects they handle. The teachers at RNSIT are knowledgeable.
Other: The college fests as well as departmental fest will are organized here. Fests in departments are technical which helps the students to learn about their departments.
