The college has its legacy in chemical engineering.

Placements: 1. Last year in the chemical branch, there was 100 percent placement. 2. The highest: 20 LPA, the lowest: 6 LPA. 3. IOCL, HPCL, JSW, GAIL, BPCL. 4. Almost 90 percent of students get internships in IOCL, HPCL, BPCL. 5. Multiple subjects and courses are offered so that students can spread in all sectors of chemical-related and energy-related careers, including refineries.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. Though the campus is not very big, we do have all AC lecture rooms, a library, one of the best chemical labs in the country, good food, greenery, and great rooms. Apart from hostel premises, all other buildings are AC-equipped. We also have courts for sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, TT, kho, football, kabaddi, indoor games, snooker, etc. Food and the mess are also good.

Faculty: Teachers are highly experienced, and all are M.Tech graduates from IITs and foreign institutes. Yes, the curriculum is more than great and does make you industry-ready. Semester exams are quite tough but not tough enough to easily fail its students. Overall, the academics are great. Though there are comparatively lots of subjects to be covered.

Other: We do have fests every year, mainly: 1. Energia: sports fest 2. Kaltarang: cultural fest 3. Urjotsav: technical fest.
