For admission to the RGIPT BTech programme, the institute accepts IIT JEE Advanced scores. Candidates must have a minimum of 60% aggregate (55% for SC/ST) in Class 12 for JEE (Advanced) eligibility. In case of vacant seats after JEE (Advanced) admissions, seats may be filled with JEE (Main) qualified students with 80% aggregate in Class 12.
Application fee for RGIPT B.Tech is INR 600 + INR 108 (taxes) for SC/ST/PwD and female candidates. For all other candidates, the application fee is INR 1200 + INR 216 (taxes). This fee is non-refundable.
Yes, RGIPT allows refunds only after receiving a valid withdrawal request submitted within the deadline. Refunds for seat blocking amount and event full fees can be refunded after certain deductions. After physical registration, you will only get back the security deposit after deducting the mess advance charges based on actual consumption.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects) and secured at least mentioned aggregate marks. The aggregate marks for PwD candidates should be at least 65%. OR Candidates must have passed class 10+2 (or equivalent) Board examination with a minimum of five subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects) and be within the category-wise (category as per the central list) top 20 percentile of successful candidates in their respective 10+2(or equivalent) board examination. [Five Subjects: i) Physics, ii) Chemistry, iii) Mathematics, iv) A language (if the candidate has taken more than one language, then the language with the higher marks will be considered) and v) Any subject other than the above four (the subject with the highest marks will be considered)] Other Mandatory Criteria: Candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2025 or 2026 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Candidates who had appeared in Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in 2024 or earlier, are NOT eligible to appear in JEE (Advanced) 2026, irrespective of the combination or number of subjects attempted/offered. List of Qualifying Exams: • The final examination of the 10+2 system, conducted by a Central or State Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). • Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a Board or University recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. • Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy. • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects. • Any Public School, Board or University examination in India or in a foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the AIU. • H.S.C. vocational examination. • A Diploma recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) or a State Board of Technical Education of at least 3 years duration. • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. • Candidates who have completed Class XII (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the AIU to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class XII examination. • In case the Class XII examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier"

RGIPT BTech course admission 2026 is entrance-based as the institute accepts the rank and scores obtained by candidates in the JEE Advanced or JEE Mains.
