RGIPT fee structure for a two-year M.Tech programme is broken down into multiple components, such as tuition fee, hostel fee and one-time fee. Apart from the tuition fee of INR 40,000, candidates are required to pay the one-time fee of INR 16,000 which includes admission fee, alumni membership fee, student's welfare fund, thesis fees and caution money (refundable) and the hostel fee of INR 60,000.

Yes, IISc Bangalore, the organizing institute of GATE 2024 has introduced a new subject - Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (DA). The syllabus for GATE 2024 DA paper can be downloaded from the website. Last year, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (combined) and Geomatics Engineering were added as the new subjects. GATE exam is conducted for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (M.Tech) and direct Ph.D. admissions to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other institutes or universities across India. It also opens the gateway to PSUs and the field of research. The exam is jointly conducted by IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee, and the Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore) on a rotational basis on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB GATE Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource & Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA core programme offered at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology must meet the RGIPT MBA eligibility criteria. 

Candidates who have a valid score in the entrance exams must obtain at least 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations and must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 60% aggregate or 6 CPI on 10 point scale (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).

Candidates who do not have a score in the entrance exams must obtain at least 65% aggregate (60% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in the Class 10 and Class 12 examinations and must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 65% aggregate or 6.5 CPI on 10 point scale (60% aggregate or 6.0 CPI for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates).

Candidates seeking admission to the MBA Business Analytics programme offered at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology must meet the RGIPT MBA BA eligibility criteria. 

Candidates with a valid score in the entrance exams must have obtained at least 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in the Class 10 and Class 12 exams and must have a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology OR a Bachelor’s degree in BSc/ BCom/ BCA/ BA (Mathematics/ Statistics) with at least 60% aggregate or 6 CPI on 10 point scale (55% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).

Candidates who do not have a valid score in the entrance exams must have obtained at least 65% aggregate (60% aggregate for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) in the Class 10 and Class 12 exams and must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology OR a Bachelor’s degree in BSc/ BCom/ BCA/ BA (Mathematics/ Statistics) with at least 65% aggregate or 6.5 CPI on 10 point scale (60% aggregate or 6.0 for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates).

You will not be eligible for admission as preparatory ranks are not considered under round 1. Since you have already qualified to appear for JEE (Advanced), all you need to do is meet the second criterion and apply for round 2, which will be only conducted if seats from round 1 remain vacant.
