All about Shaheed Bhagat Singh College from the perspective of a final-year B.Com student.
Placements: Somewhere around 30 percent of the batch gets placed among those who apply for placements initially. The average package is around 3.6 LPA. The highest package is 16 LPA. Most of the roles offered are in sales. The top recruiter is Deloitte, which hires around 75+ students from our batch for audit profiles with a package of 7 LPA. Almost 60% of the batch gets internships from the college and other sources. The top roles include Analyst, Audit, Accounts, and Sales.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not really good. They are building new facilities, but for our batch, everything was affected due to construction, so it was not very good. Apart from that, facilities like libraries, Wi-Fi, and classrooms are good. There is no hostel, but there is a canteen that offers good food options at affordable prices.
Faculty: Teachers are well-educated and knowledgeable. The only thing I liked here the most was the faculty. The curriculum is slightly irrelevant, but it helps if you are going into the accounting and analytics fields. Exams are not difficult, and anyone can pass them. The passing percentage is around 40%.
Other: I chose this course because I am from a commerce background. It is one of the best options for commerce students. It gives many opportunities to grow in a career. There are fests and many extracurricular activities where students can participate and enjoy.

Good infrastructure, away from Delhi's crowd and pollution, with the best faculty members.
Placements: Roughly 30% to 40% of B.Sc. Maths Honors students get placed. The highest package of my course is around 10–12 LPA, and the lowest is around 2 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Deloitte and KPMG. 50% to 60% of students intern at companies like Deloitte and DeltaX. The top roles offered in my college are Data Analyst, Software Engineer, and Finance Analyst.
Infrastructure: Shaheed Bhagat College has good infrastructure, and the college is trying to improve it further. Some blocks are under construction, but the college has best reading hall and library. The college has very good classrooms, but classrooms provided to Maths students are quite old. Overall, the infrastructure is very good, with excellent labs. The canteen is also very good, offering good food quality with many options at very affordable rates. Medical facilities are very good. Sports facilities have improved a lot, and they are still trying to improve them further.
Faculty: Shaheed Bhagat Singh College has very good staff. They have highly qualified degrees from institutes like IITs and IIMs. Teaching quality is very nice. According to me, it improves your thinking and how deeply you can think. It helps you choose the right things in your daily life easily. It also makes your calculations very good. It is beneficial for students entering the industry because of its focus on calculations and calm, deep thinking. Semester exams are not that hard if you study. In my batch, almost 95 to 100% of students pass all the semester exams.
Other: I chose Mathematics Honours because I have a Maths background and I like solving Maths problems. The best thing about my college is the faculty, and labs for the Mathematics department are the best. There is nothing much to improve in my course because they already provide us with the best faculty, professors, and computer labs. College policies do not allow inviting celebrities to events. The campus crowd is very good. They also provide scholarships to students who cannot afford the fees. My college is also very good for extracurricular activities.

SBSC (66.6% attendance mandatory) Locality-good (Select City malls are only 1km away) Decent crowd.
Placements: Okay, so we do have a placement cell. Is it active? Yes, it is. Emails are sent at least 10 times a month. Do they offer jobs or internships? Yes, but what they don't tell you is that they have 10 jobs for 1000 students, and I am not even bluffing. The placement percentage is bad. Not even a single student I know got an internship or a job.
Infrastructure: Okay, so the ground is under construction. We have a great open auditorium with big fans (it's really comfortable to attend events and fests). The campus is pretty big and clean with greenery. Only the C block has air conditioning, and that doesn't work that well. I am in the 4th sem and not even a single class is in the C block. Most classes have a fan and a desk, so it’s average. The canteen is useless. The vendors change every 6 months, and they only have samosas, read pakoda, and tea. But we have Madhav Bhaiya's shop (inside the college campus), and he does have great food. Sandwich smugglers and the authority market are also nearby.
Faculty: Well, each teacher is different, but I can tell you that every one of them is highly knowledgeable. Some are very helpful, some say they will help, but they don't. But all of them do their jobs timely classes and notices if classes are canceled (which is not too often). Talking about the curriculum, the NEP made it worse. SEC and VAC subjects are useless and also result in a decline in your CGPA. We have to give assignments, viva, presentations, and tests, which is okay, but all of that for all 7 subjects happens in 1 single month, which is the month before exams.
Other: The college is great if you can maintain 66.6% attendance. If you cannot, please avoid SBSC (they are very strict about attendance; 66.5% also means you will be detained in 1 subject). Fests are not too good, but they are organized freshers and 1-2 other fun events also. The college is only 1 km away from Malviya Nagar and Chirag Delhi metro stations. CVS College is just 50m away, and the bus stand is just 150m away. You can find tons of PGs or flats near the college (100-300m). Rate of PGs: 6 to 11k. Rate of flats: 3 to 12k (sharing flats are economical).

Review of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Most of the B.Com (Hons.) students get placements. The placement percentage is above 90%. Students from other courses can also apply for placements and get selected. Students pursuing English Literature can also get placed in corporate companies or publishing houses.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure. C Block is the most advanced, and the library is probably one of the best in the whole of DU. The college does not have a hostel facility. The canteen is very bad, and the food quality is poor. The canteen tenders have also been changed 3–4 times in a year.
Faculty: The college has one of the best English faculties in DU. Teachers are polite and go beyond classroom teaching to explain practical concepts. One teacher acts as a mentor throughout your time at SBSC. Students can also reach out to teachers for professional or personal guidance.
Other: I am from the B.A. English batch of 2025. I chose English because of my love for literature and writing. The department has its own annual fest. There are many good societies on campus.

SBSC is one of the best colleges of the South campus, University of Delhi, especially for commerce.
Placements: Around 50 percent of students get placement offers in my course. 6 LPA is the highest, and 3 LPA is the lowest package offered. Zomato recruit in our college. Almost all students who are willing to do so get internships. The top role offered in my course is HR in Zomato for 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, and it's a little bit congested as two colleges operate on the campus morning and evening. The library is great, it has 3 floors and plenty of books on multiple subject matters. There is no hostel available in Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.
Faculty: Faculty is top-notch. Some of them are really fantastic. Teachers are really helpful and highly qualified. The course curriculum is more relevant to the students who wish to pursue a civil services career. The difficulty of the B.A. programme paper is easy to moderate, and the pass percentage is 40%.
Other: The best thing about the B.A. programme is that you don't get stuck studying only one subject in depth if you are the one who wants to explore the surface of different disciplines without being involved too much in one. The B.A. programme is best for you compared to the honours programme. I would like to improve, or it would be better if they reduce the number of subjects, as it could be hectic for newbies. College is very strict with events, unlike other DU colleges, they generally don't call any famous artists for the fests.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College Geography Department is best for academic and research studies.
Placements: Till now there has been no job opportunity provided by the department. Students have to get jobs on their own, but the faculty is very supportive. Recently, the department has acknowledged this issue and made a placement cell exclusively for geography students, and soon this problem will be resolved.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure-wise, the geography department is the best in this college and one of the best in Delhi University. It has 3 labs stacked with proficient systems and free Wi-Fi (more than 100 Mbps speed). All the classrooms are equipped with smart boards and projectors. The canteen is decent and the library is also very nice.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive. They have a very good understanding of their subjects. This course curriculum is very relevant for further research studies or foreign studies. Exams are not that tough and you get extra time to explore different things.
Other: The college is very strict and disciplined, which is in my view very good. If you are choosing this college for academic purposes this is best. The college has a strict rule regarding attendance. 67 percent of attendance is mandatory for each student.
