Step 2: SJMSOM Selection Criteria
SJMSOM provides admission to MBA programme based on CAT score followed by a PI round. The selection to PhD course is based on UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ GATE (75 percentile)/ CAT (75 percentile)/ GMAT (600 marks)/ GRE (300 marks) scores. For EMBA and IDDP, merit of the students are considered for selection. Once the selection rounds are over, a merit list with the names of shortlisted candidates is released.
Step 3: SJMSOM Final Seat Allotment

SJMSOM PhD Admission 2025
SJMSOM offers PhD courses in all areas of Management. The school offers PhD course in two phases, namely Coursework and Research Work. Candidates need to complete graduation with at least 60% aggregate (55% aggregate for SC/ ST) to apply for PhD programme. Admission to the PhD programme is based on UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET/ GATE (75 percentile)/ CAT (75 percentile)/ GMAT (600 marks)/ GRE (300 marks) scores of the candidates.

Candidates should have valid score in any of the entrance exams such as UGC-JRF/ UGC-NET/ CSIR-JRF/ GATE/ CAT/ GMAT/ GRE and candidates should write a research proposal (1500 words) on a topic of their interest in place of Statement of Purpose. It should contain problem identification, brief review of literature, anf methodology. Besides, aspirants must also fulfil the eligibility criteria to get admission in the PhD programme.
Given below is the eligibility criteria for PhD in management programme at SJMSOM, IIT Bombay:

SJMSOM offers 18-month Executive programme jointly with Washington University in St. Louis. The part-time residential EMBA programme is divided into three semesters of six months.
