Review of SIT - Sinhgad Institute of Technology.
Placements: This year, the placements were good as in the previous year. The highest placements are achieved by the computer science department as many students have got placed. Placements for the mechanical branch were good as in the previous year. Companies also visited the college for the mechanical branch this year, whereas, in the previous years, most of the companies visited for IT and CSE departments.
Infrastructure: Our college offers very few courses like engineering, hotel management, pharmacy etc. So, we don't have any problem with medical facilities, food etc. Wi-Fi facility is available, but its range is low in hostels, and the facility is not available on the campus. From my point of view, the infrastructure of our college is good compared to other colleges.
Faculty: Faculty members do their best to teach us, but we are not okay with it as we cannot understand some topics clearly. The methods of teaching are not much good because they only teach the given syllabus and not beyond it. Industry knowledge is not provided. The course curriculum is not useful for industrial purpose.
Other: This year, all the events and fests are conducted accordingly. Scholarships are provided only for the local students and not for the students who come from other states. View of this college is very good during the rainy season.

A review of Sinhgad Institute of Technology.
Placements: The placement scenario in this college is not good. Even this year many students didn't get placed. Hardly, 40-45% of the students got placed in companies. In our college, no internship opportunities are given to the students. There is a placement cell, but our seniors told us that is not much useful.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is better than other colleges. There are two libraries for students, and also there is a separate reading hall for students to study which will be opened for 24*7. There is a hospital in our college, and there is a free check-up for students, but they don't check if there are any serious health problems. One issue in the college is, there is no bus facility for hostellers to go to the station during the holidays.
Faculty: The teachers in the college are not well-qualified. They did only BE, and very few teachers did PhD, but they help students who are weak in subjects. The course curriculum is good for us. The teaching method of teachers and lecturers are boring.
Other: Many events like Karandak, Surbhi and others festivals are organised here. The crowd of our college is not good because they don't talk well in English or Hindi.

The college of dreams with perfect environment for living and studying.
Placements: Placements are centralized at vadgaon campus. Sometimes even at Lonavla campus. Training is provided from third year of engineering for interview and internship. Many companies like Mahindra, emphasis, Tata, Accenture, Infosys, etc. Are taking the students from sinhgad institute.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is huge being located in a space of 160 acres of land in kusgaon, Lonavla. There are more than 10 buildings for college as well as hostels for boys and girls. The college looks huge from Express way. Machinery is not exact what is needed but is fine.
Faculty: The faculty is mostly from vidarbh region and satara region, highly qualified and well organized for teaching. Many curriculum activities takes place in the campus like tech fest, cultural events, farewell party, shiv jayanti and many more. Overall a good environment to live in.

Not satisfied as the placements are not good, but the other things are good.
Placements: The placement scenario is not at all good for the mechanical department. The percentage of the placements is 7-10% because hardly 5 to 6 companies like Tata, Mahindra and some few companies visit the college for placements. The college offers only a few placement opportunities as the college doesn't conduct any extracurricular activities develop the knowledge of the students. There are no practical sessions for the students, and no project is given to us.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The college provides facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, neat & clean classrooms, library, sports and various types of games. The environment is also good and clean. The hostel rooms are good, neat and clean. I was not satisfied with the hostel mess as the quality of the food is not good. The menu will remain the same, and there will be no change in the menu.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and helpful, but they do not have knowledge about machines which were used in vehicles, air-conditioners and power plants. The teaching methods of all the teachers are not good. We will not get any industrial knowledge from the teachers, and they only teach the concepts in the university syllabus.
Other: Events, fests and the campus crowd are nice. Though we get good marks or percentage in university exams, the scholarships are not provided. The college doesn't even conduct any exam to offer scholarships.

Never go on looks and atmospheric Beauty while selecting college iykwim.
Placements: No placements for candidate having less than 60%. Many companies have debarred this college students from even entering the placement drive. Core company jobs are too scarce. There are companies that provides jobs for students below 60 in Engineering but they need manpower for marketing and sales.
Infrastructure: The worst infrastructure it just looks good on the outside. The campus looks absolutely astonishing during admission as they are during the rainy season and the college is gifted with the beautiful weather and atmosphere. But as time progresses one understands that it just looks good and the academic progress on candidate is slowed.
Faculty: They go on strike every now and then. Each and every faculty member is about to resign as their salaries are pending. The college committee has yet to pay salary of teachers (15 months). The staff's anger and frustration can then be seen in lectures and practicals as they just teach for name sake.
Other: I am about to pass out from this college from mechanical department but I am yet to receive my freshers party. So anyone thinking that they will enjoy fests and parties should stay away from this college?

Good faculty members, average infrastructure, but placements are not much good for mechanical.
Placements: The placements in our college are not much good for mechanical students, but many mechanical companies like Tata, Mahindra, and L&T visit the college every year. The students get an average package of 3 to 4 lacs per annum. Very few students get placed through campus placements, not many, because of lack of technical knowledge. This is not only our problem, on the other hand, but I would also like to say our education system is weird, we get only theoretical knowledge, not practical knowledge. This is neither our fault nor college's, so we cannot do anything.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided in our college are Wi-Fi, good collection of books in the library, smart classrooms, workshop, separate automobile workshop, and a designing lab. Many designing courses are taught in our college campus. There are a hospital, two playgrounds and five canteens in my college. The hostel is good with separate bathrooms.
Faculty: The college has well-trained teachers. Some teachers are pursuing their PhD and others completed their masters from prestigious colleges. Their teaching method is good. The student-faculty ratio is 20:1. They are very supportive. They help us in studies, projects and guide us about the opportunities we can get in our future.
Other: Some cultural, technical and sports events are held in our college. There are many technical clubs, sports club and student personality development club in our college. The campus is very good and beautiful.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of bad placements but because of infrastructure, it is nice.
Placements: There are more number of placements for computer Science & IT. Very few core companies & start up companies comes in campus. But problem is that vacancies are very few. Everyone have dreams job but due to lack of training placements are affected. About mechanical branch institute is not serious!
Infrastructure: College is very famous because it is near Mumbai Pune express highway surrounded by hills. In rainy season, its look very beautiful. Weather is very pure. Also about grounds there is cricket ground, tennis, golf, basketball. Campus provide all these things which we use in everyday life. Hostel rooms are very nice. Labs & classroom are good enough.
Faculty: I don't know about teachers of other branch but teachers of mechanical branch are very helpful & strict too. Everyone use different methods to teach students by practical knowledge, industrial visits. Course curriculum is effective for students those who are serious in their life. Because of attendance criteria & teachers knowledge, many students attend lectures upto third year.
Other: Events are Surbhi festival, Dandiya Nights, Dj nights, guest lectures, techtonic. Different scholarship has been provided for students to lift them up for their interest.

The faculty members are good. The placements are good for the core.
Placements: A few placements for core companies. The placements are maximum for IT-related companies. Otherwise, the placement is good. You need to clear all the subject in the 3rd-year. There is a centralised placement cell for all the Sinhgad Institutes, which is held in Vadgaon campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good at Sinhgad Institute, Lonavla campus. The main problem is college is located on hill location, which is a hesitation. The classrooms are good. The library needs to improve, and there should be more amount of books. The sports facilities are the best.
Faculty: The faculty members are good. The attendance is compulsory even if you are participating in college events. There will be no help for the attendance section. You need to maintain your attendance at any conditions. Otherwise, they will tell you to write question paper.
