My College life experience .

Placements: Placement in the college is very poor. They don't have any placement assistance for the students, and no one in the college is guiding the students for companies. It is really sad for the students who studied at that college. When joining, they told us that all the senior students were placed, but that was fake.

Infrastructure: The classroom is at a very normal level; it is not even average. It's an old college, and they don't have Wi-Fi facilities. The library is good in the college. The hostel is also average. The hostel food is good. They have no canteen in the college. If there is an emergency, you have to go out.

Faculty: At the early stage, the faculty was very good, and the faculty members were very friendly. They were more experienced people in the college. Afterward, when COVID ended, the faculty became very few; there were only a few faculty members in the college. Students faced many problems during that time.

Other: I chose this course because I loved to learn new technologies. In this college, for this course, the fees are low, and that's the reason I joined the college. There are no events; they only conduct very few events. They have sports day, Pongal, Diwali, and a few others.

Review of SKR Engineering College.

Placements: Almost 98.7% of students got placed in our course. The top recruiting companies were Infosys, TCS, and Sutherland. The average salary package offered ranges from 2.5 LPA to 3.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered ranges between 4.5 LPA to 5.5 LPA. Software engineer and software developer were the top roles offered in this course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure was great. The library was also provided. There was a huge general library in A block, and several books were available. Free Wi-Fi was also available. The food served in the mess was good at reasonable prices. Each department provided basic first aid items. A huge volleyball court was also available.

Faculty: Professors were highly qualified in all departments. They teach us very well, and they make learning more interesting. Every year there were 5 exams i.e., 2-semester exams and 3 term exams. The pass percentage was 60%. Internal marks were also provided.

Other: I opted for this course because I wanted to become a software engineer. Fests like Pongal, sports celebration, farewell meet, and alumni were conducted in our college.

Everything is good and simple except the hostel.

Placements: The placements are good for CSE, and IT departments. There are many MNC companies like Zoho, IBM, Infosys visited our college, but a few students were placed. Last Year, there are 70% of the ECE students got placed, and all the 15 members from IT department got placed in 2014. There are more internship opportunities provided to the IT students, and there are separate training classes are conducted for IT students two days a week.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and they provide free Wi-Fi for every student with 1gb limit daily. The labs are good, and the renovated classrooms are Perfect. Every classroom has CCTV camera. The environment is cool as the campus is full of trees. The college has two cricket grounds, and for all the sports. The gym facility is also provided in the college. The college library is big and good. The hostel rooms are not bad.

Faculty: The faculty members are friendly with students, and they are highly qualified. They Teach us very well. The faculty members of our department are more friendly when compared with the faculty of other departments. They conduct special classes to those students who are failing in Internal test. They conduct parents and teachers meeting. The average percentage of the faculty is 85%.

Other: There are many events and symposiums organised in our college. The campus was clean and good. They provide scholarships and Prizes for the top three students of each sem. Every Saturday is a holiday for all the courses except in the exam time.

Other: College hosts three fests and there is a choice of clubs & activities for all round development. Attendance is strict. Academically, if you manage your time well, you can do well. Teachers are good but not great. Students are extremely friendly. There are many places to relax. Films are screened occasionally in the auditorium. Being a centrally funded institute, college fees is lower than all comparable institutes. Almost all big companies come here for campus placements.
