Good and advisable for the students to join DMI.

Placements: DMICE has shown a consistent placement record across its courses, especially in CSE and related streams in recent years. Approximately 80-85% of students from the CSE, IT, and AI have been successfully placed through campus recruitment. In terms of internships, about 60-70% of students from technical courses secured internships either through the college or independently.

Infrastructure: DMI College of Engineering offers well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, and a well-stocked library. Each department has modern infrastructure to support hands-on learning and project development. Hostels are clean and secure with basic amenities and 24X7 water and electricity. Mess food is hygienic with both veg and non-veg options. Medical support is given wisely.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, approachable, supportive, and help students inside and outside the classroom. The teaching quality is good, with a focus on both theoretical concepts and practical applications. Workshops, seminars, and project-based learning help students become industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately difficult but manageable with consistent preparation and attention. The pass percentage is generally high around 85-90% with proper academic support for students.

Other: I chose this course based on my aim and passion to get some more syllabus and it is good.

My own review for the college.

Placements: The college provides a variable number of placements, in which half of those are BPOs. Anyhow, many students are getting placed and yet those are BPOs. Fewer core companies approach and they are recruiting only a certain amount. Even the others are more qualified than those who got placed.

Infrastructure: It has an excellent infrastructure with separate blocks for each and every department. The classrooms are pretty decent and lab facilities are also available. Wi-Fi is accessible only in labs. They are maintaining an excellent library, in which almost all the books you are looking for will be available. A medical facility is also available in the office room.

Faculty: The faculty members working in the college are highly experienced and professional. They are helpful in all kind of way related to your studies or extracurricular activities. These faculty members are better compared to all other faculty members in any other college. They can teach in any way the students ask, they will not ignore you for a special class or coaching classes, if the students are requesting.

Other: The college infrastructure and the faculty members are the best. But when coming to students' interaction and freedom, they will not listen to a student who is made to be a cruel student (which is not true). There will be no support from the department or the college if your grades in your college are low. There won't be anyone to support you so when there is a problem between you and the faculty members. The college highly seeks to earn money than producing valued engineers.

You do not want to choose this college.

Placements: Placement companies did not come to us as we had expected. There were unsatisfactory placements. BPOs hired a few students. The college collects the placement fees but no one is selected in the placements. I have never seen such an institution. You need a good education to get a job if you do not choose the college.

Infrastructure: Very bad infrastructure. I was staying in the hostel of the college. We did not use the phone, laptop at the hostel. There is no internet access in the hostel. The library is a little better. Canteen meals are more expensive. Medical care is not good.

Faculty: What they did not realize that the teachers treat. A lot of teachers do not know English well. We need to educate them to be correct. The knowledge gained by what is taught is effectively zero.

Poor management, poor placement, no knowledgeable staff . I would never suggest DMI to anyone.

Placements: I am not much satisfied with the placements. Only BPOs visit the college. I have never seen a core company visiting our college for placements. About 30% of the students get placed in BPOs. The college collects placement fees from all the students and provides training only to the students who are eligible. So the amount paid by the most of the students are literally stolen by the management.

Infrastructure: The campus is a bit good. We have some large space area for sports. Labs are pretty good and medical facilities are poor. Some departments do not give importance to sports because they think that only academic excellence is important. The library is pretty good. We can peacefully go through the books. The students use the library only during the exam time because of the ambiance.

Faculty: Most of the faculty members do not have knowledge about the subject. Some of them don't know proper English too. There are some exceptions, though. Some are really awesome but most of my department faculty are an utter waste, you will never get knowledge from them.

Other: You can't sit and eat in the canteen due to some awful smell. The food tastes bad. Only the packed snacks are good since it is bought from outside. Bus facilities are good. We have a number of buses for transporting to various places in Chennai. Overall the management is poor and they aim to get money from you for every single reason.
