UID DAT 2026: The application window for UID Lateral Entry/NRI admissions for the academic year 2025–26 is open. Interested candidates can download the application form and apply through the official link.
The Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) admission process for UID DAT 2026 is open for all categories. Candidates who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may fill out the UID DAT 2026 application form. To apply for UID DAT 2026, the candidate will have to register, fill in all relevant information, upload documents, and pay the application fees.
The UID DAT is conducted in two Tiers: Tier I and Tier II. The candidate appears in the Tier I exam first. The exam is administered online and carries 100 marks. If the candidate is shortlisted, they will have to next appear in the Tier II exam, which will include a Situation Test (ST) and Portfolio Evaluation (PE) and will be conducted at UID Campus based on the preference given by the candidate in the UID application form 2026.

What is UID Design Aptitude Test?
Unitedworld Institute of Design (UID) conducts the UID Design Aptitude Test for admission to design courses offered at the following campuses - UID Ahmedabad Campus and UID NCR Campus. B.Des (Hons), M.Des, and Ph.D. courses are offered at the UID Ahmedabad Campus, whereas the UID NCR campus offers a B.Des (Hons) course.
Admission to UID is a two-tier process. The candidates first appear for UID DAT (Design Aptitude Test). Shortlisted candidates next have to appear in a Situation Test and Portfolio Evaluation round.

The application form for UID DAT 2026 is open now for the General Category. The application for Lateral/ NRI admission is open for the UID DAT 2025.
To fill out the UID DAT application form, follow these steps.
- Register: Register on the official website of the exam using details such as their full name, email ID, and mobile number.
- Fill out the application form: In the application, fill in personal details, communication addresses, and parents' information.
- Upload documents: Upload the scanned photo in JPG/JPEG/PNG/GIF format; the size should be less than 1 MB.
- Pay the application fee: The application fee is INR 2,000 (NRI/NRI Spons. / Mgmt. candidates need to pay INR 3,000). The available payment options are Cards (Credit/Debit), Net Banking, Wallet, Paytm, and UID.
UID DAT Eligibility Criteria 2026
The eligibility criteria for the UID Aptitude Test 2026 are different for UG and PG design courses. The eligibility criteria are listed below for candidates to review.

Aspirants need to clear the UID Aptitude Test 2026 to secure admissions in design programs offered at the Unitedworld Institute of Design.
Step 1: Fill UID Aptitude Test Application Form
Candidates can fill out the UID Design Aptitude Test application form in online mode on the official website of the exam. The application form for the UID entrance exam should be supported by all relevant documents that are mentioned in the UID brochure.
Step 2: Download UID Aptitude Test Admit Card
Aspirants need to download the UID Aptitude Test 2026 admit card from the official website of UID. Candidates need to carry their UID exam ticket with them for the Design Aptitude Test. Further, they also need to show the exam ticket issued by the college to the exam supervisor. If any candidate does not have the UID entrance exam admit card he/she might not be allowed to take the entrance exam.
Step 3: Give UID Aptitude Test
UID Aptitude Test for BDesign and MDesign is a 2-tier test. The first tier is the design aptitude test (DAT) and the end tier is the Situation Test & Portfolio Evaluation. This design aptitude test comprises both multiple-choice questions and descriptive questions.
Students who have qualified UCEED, NID, NIFT entrance exams for B.Des and M.Des degree programs are eligible for direct portfolio.
Step 4: Appear for Studio Test & Portfolio Evaluation
Candidates who clear the UID Aptitude Test are then shortlisted to appear for the situation test and portfolio evaluation round, which is conducted at the Ahmedabad campus of Unitedworld Institute of Design. Here, candidates are evaluated based on how well they can handle and create end products using different materials.
Step 6: Check Result
Next, candidates need to check the result for UID Aptitude Test on the official website of the design school.
