Absolutely dissatisfied with the infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Honestly speaking the placements are not good in my college. Last year only 50-60% students were placed with the highest package of 7.5 LPA and the lowest of 3.16 LPA. The average package is also not good and lucrative. Most of the companies visiting were mostly startup companies offering the role of software developer. As compared to the last year, around 80% students from the batch of 2023 were placed which was comparatively good with the highest package of 10 LPA and lowest of 2.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of my department is not good and at par. The classrooms are very old with desks being as old as you can imagine, forget wi-fi facilities and the labs. You can spot bird litter everywhere on the desks in the rooms. The hostels are the only good thing for the price charged by the college which includes facilities like clean bathrooms and a common room where you can play indoor games like carrom, Ludo, etc.
Faculty: Some faculty members are knowledgeable while the others are not. They are very helpful and qualified with at least an M.Tech degree. The curriculum depends on you, if you are passionate about a particular department then it would not be a bad deal. Every course here is designed for the students to become industry ready. The semester exams are of mid level, you can easily pass them by studying the previous year question papers. The passing percentage varies department to department with highest being that of IT Department.

Good infrastructure is available.
Placements: About seventy percent students of our batch were placed. The highest package offered of our college was INR 25 Lacs per annum and the lowest package offered was INR 5 Lacs. Wipro, TCS, Capgemini, HCL, Coal India, Tata Power, Vodafone etc. were the top recruiting companies.
Infrastructure: A well organized library is available in our college with the capacity of one hundred fifty students at the same time, all the books which were followed by our teachers are found in this library. Wi-Fi facilities are available in this college. Total 5 hostels are there in this college for girls and boys both.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and every teacher is well qualified and labs of this college are very well organized. Industry visits are conducted to gain knowledge. Semester exam is moderate, classnote is enough for exam preparation. About 90 percent is the pass percentage.
Other: Campus crowd is very good.

UIT, University of Burdwan Review.
Placements: 35 percent of students got placement. 25 lpa is the highest package, 3 lpa is the least package, and 6 lpa is the average package. Amazon, Wipro, and IBM are also present in many companies. About 10% of students have internships in different companies. And the top role in my subject is assistant engineer.
Infrastructure: The department has good facilities, including a wifi, lab, and class room, and the library has more than fifty thousand books. The hostel has good catering and canteen. For medical facilities, there are separate medical centers where everything is free. There is an auditorium and gymnasium for games.
Faculty: All the teachers are qualified; all have PhDs and are working on various research projects. They are very helpful. In our curriculum, a student is well versed in every subject, which he can later go and work in the industry. We have the best chance of passing the semester exam, but on average, 75% of students succeed.
Other: I am very fond of physics and electrical engineering, so I chose the electrical engineering subject. This is a subject that is the mother branch of all subjects. Almost all subjects can be worked from electrical engineering subject. In our college, many extras have NCC. Also, public and private are not friends. Along with studies, there are two big festivals of the year. One is Technical Fest.

Placements: In our college, more than 75% of students are placed each year. The average salary package offered was 3 LPA to 4 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 16 LPA in CSE. Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is not available on the college premises and hostels. Classrooms are normal without AC. There are 3 hostels for boys' and 1 girls' hostels. JC Bose and SN Bose are two boys' hostels for 2nd to 4th year students of BE and ME courses. APC hostel, aka Banabas Hostel, is for 1st-year boys. Sister Nivedita Hostel is the only hostel for girls. The quality of food available in the mess and canteen is moderately good. Sports and games are available.
Faculty: Every semester, mid-semester exams are held twice. Semester examinations are held at the end of each semester. All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) curriculum is followed. Teachers are moderately qualified. We have a mixture of permanent faculty and guest lecturers.

Placements: It is one of the best institute but will not provide placements like IITs, NITs, or prime institutions like JU or CU. Around 90% of students are placed in various MNCs this year. Hindustan Copper offered placements this year. TCS, Capgemini, Cognizant, Pinnacle, Wipro, and local companies are the major recruiters. The highest salary package this year is 10 LPA from Hindustan Copper. All the students got internships. Placement cell is working well but needs more infrastructure in this placement assistance and it has this capability.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are very well maintained and are very spacious. Electrical laboratories are very well. Library has various types of books. For GATE preparation you can take books from the library. One can get maximum 3 books at a time. Library is centrally air-conditioned. Hostel for 1st years is separated from campus. It is in the Barabazar area which is 10 minutes distance from the college. Hostel in-charge and guards are friendly. UITs personal canteen serve various types of delicious foods with a cheap rate. It is on the campus. Burdwan medical college is 10 minutes distance from college. College authority organise more games and sports events which are very rarely organised.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well qualified, teach well, and provide notes. First-year students will get TD mam as HOD, who is one of the best teachers. The course curriculum is AICTE set. Semester exams are tough. Students have to get an 8.5 to 9.5 CGPA to be in the CAT race of Engineering.
Other: I chose this course as electrical engineering is my favorite subject and CSE and EE department faculty members and the departments are the best. The course fee is a bit high, so need to reduce that. Students can get the SVMCM scholarship from the government of West Bengal or Bihar board students can get the Bihar government scholarship. Campus crowd is good. There are lush green surroundings that will encourage you to learn more.
