Strong academics, good exposure, and lively campus life at VJTI by Prabhu.

Placements: In the textile technology course at VJTI, around 65 to 75% of those women are generally placed through the campus and off-campus opportunities. Highest package offered in recent years has been around 8 to 10 LPA, with the average salary lying in the range of four to five, with the lowest package around 2.5 LPA. Some of the companies that visit are Reliance Textile and Century Enka.

Infrastructure: Textile Technology Department of College is well-equipped with specialized laboratories such as pinning, weaving, dyeing, printing, and textile testing labs, which provide students with hands-on industry-level exposure. The classrooms are spacious and fitted with projectors, and Wi-Fi is available across the campus.

Faculty: The faculty in the Textile Technology department at VJTI are highly qualified, experienced, and supportive, with many holding PhDs and having strong research as well as industry backgrounds. They are approachable and helpful in clarifying doubts, and their teaching quality is generally good.

Other: I chose textile technology at this college because of the institute's strong reputation, well-established department, and the wide scope of the textile industry offered in terms of both core technical and management opportunities. Review of B.Tech. in Textile Technology course in VJTI.

Placements: I am pursuing B.Tech. in the Textile Technology course. Placements here are above average. Around 85% of students get placed in top textile companies, and the remaining ones either go for further education or get placed in low-paying jobs. The highest package is 18 LPA, and the lowest package is 6 LPA. Trident is the top recruiting company for our course. Nearly all students get internships. Roles like manufacturing head, sales head, and T lab testing are offered to students.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available on campus, but it may not work in some areas. There are 2 hostels for boys, 1 PG hostel old and one is in very bad condition. It has toilets and a living room. PG is top-notch and has world-class facilities. Food is okay. Medical facilities are available in college at some specific time. It has 2 boys mess. It also has games and sports in the building.

Faculty: 80% of teachers are PhD holders. They have an average experience of more than 7 years. The course curriculum is very relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The semester exam's difficulty level is medium. The minimum passing criteria is 35 marks. In the first year, it is very difficult for many students to pass.

Good placement, good exposure, good teaching staff, and a student-friendly environment.

Placements: I am in my second year. All the information given below is for the Textile Technology department. Nearly 80% of students are placed. The highest package is 18 LPA and the lowest is approximately 6 LPA. Trident is the top recruiter. Nearly all students get internships, with roles such as manufacturing head, sales head, and lab testing.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available across the campus, but it may not work in some areas. There are 2 hostels for boys and 1 PG hostel, which has very bad conditions for toilets and living rooms. But the PG is top-notch and has world-class facilities. The food is okay, and medical facilities are available in the college at specific times. There are 2 boys messes. There are games and sports.

Faculty: 80% of teachers have a Ph.D. and an average experience of 7+ years. The course is very relevant and makes students industry-ready. The difficulty is medium. There is a minimum of 35 marks passing the criteria. For first-year students, it is very difficult for many students to pass.

Other: I have taken admission in the spot round. I chose the course because it allows me to do side work. The best thing is that you can relate it to daily life, as clothes are used everywhere. Modified machines should be used, and equipment should be updated. There are many events such as Enthusiasm for Sports, Technovanza for Science, and Teach DLA for debate and literature. The college also has good connectivity, as the railway station is approximately 1 km away and the bus stand is approximately 20 meters away. It is surrounded by institutes and schools, such as ICT and Don Bosco High School. Scholarships are provided.

VJTI- honest review with all the pros and cons.

Placements: 71 percent of students were placed this year from the textile branch, with the highest package being 18 LPA (by Trident groups) and the average package being 8.16 LPA. VJTI being in Mumbai, it's a core attraction for all the companies; every year, more than 350 companies visit campus for placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure in some parts of the college still needs improvement. Especially in the mechanical building where we've got to climb stars on the 3rd floor to get to the classroom. The quality of the food at the mess is quite decent, though sometimes the afternoon lunch veggie can be repetitive. The food at the canteen is very decent. There's a clinic available inside the campus. There are two grounds, one for cricket and the other for football; additionally, there's a basketball court too.

Faculty: The teachers here have many years of experience and they're well qualified. The teaching quality of some teachers is so good; they teach everything from the basics and gradually increase the level; they give time-to-time assignment questions for revision and practice, which helps a lot. I'm yet to give my MST, which is supposed to begin on November 18, but by analyzing the previous year papers, one can say that the difficulty level was above moderate.

Our college has many internal problems, but it does well in placements.

Placements: In our college, many students are placed. It depends on the branches, whether circuit branches or non-circuit branches. The salary package offered is 68 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 8 LPA. For the textile branch, placements are good.

Infrastructure: Our college does not provide good infrastructure. Our classrooms are digitally equipped, but some devices are not working. We have a huge library with a lot of books, but the downside is that it is available only until 8 pm. The hostel seats are limited. Only nine seats are available per branch for 60 students. A mess is available for all students. The quality of food in the mess is good. Sports are good. Football, basketball, and cricket grounds are available. Sports facilities are not good. Only carrom and two units of basic table tennis are available. A gymkhana is available for a limited time only.

Faculty: Our teachers are good. Most of them are master's degrees or Ph.D. holders. Some teachers are not good. Exams are a little bit difficult, but if you are a good student and can study 2 hours per day before 10 days of exams, you can easily clear the passing criteria. The pass percentage is 40%. The course curriculum is good, but some things are not worthy according to industry standards. They are still following the old fashion. Our teachers are supportive, and they teach you all the skills you need.

Other: Student clubs and events are excellent. Infrastructure should be upgraded, and the 75% attendance criteria should be removed. Students don't have enough time to self-study. We come to college for attendance.
