4. JEE Mains/Advanced: Candidates with exceptionally strong B.Tech academic records may have their JEE scores taken into consideration by VJTI.

Yes, it is possible to get admission to M.Tech at VJTI Mumbai with a percentile of 95 in MHTCET exam. There are no M.Tech programs in these fields at VJTI.Due to the strong demand for engineers, VJTI Mumbai slightly outperforms other institutions in terms of placements and average salaries. However, ICT Mumbai also draws quality employers.Whereas the course curriculum at VJTI Mumbai combines theory and practical application, that at ICT Mumbai is more research-focused.
According to rankings, VJTI is ranked higher among engineering colleges, while ICT Mumbai is ranked higher among chemical and pharmaceutical institutes.So, definitely VJTI is better.

No, the Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI) admissions to all the UG, PG, diploma, and doctoral courses are solely entrance-based. There is no such provision of direct admission in any of the courses or specialisation of VJTI. There are different entrance exams conducted by the Government of Maharashtra whose scores/ rank is necessary for interested candidates for getting enrolled in VJTI, Mumbai. Some of the popular courses entrance exams are: -

1.    For admission to BTech, students need to take MHT-CET which is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Maharashtra Government. Students need to prepare well for this entrance exam because only those candidates who have a valid score/ rank which comes in the range of the merit list specified by the college can further proceed with the admission process.

2.    For admission to MCA, candidates need to take MHT-MCA CET which is also a state-level exam conducted by the Government of Maharashtra. Candidates having good who scores a good rank in this exam becomes eligible for further process of admission into VJTI.

Apart from these courses, there are several other courses offered by the college and the eligibility and entrance exam vary depending upon the specific course in which candidates are interested in taking admissions.

If you belong to the General AI category, then it is not possible to get admission at 90 percentile in MHT CET. In the last round, the closing percentile among the General Home State category candidates varied between 95.51 and 99.85. However, if you belong to the OBC HS category, then it is possible to get admisison in a few specialisations including B.Tech. in Textile Technology.
