I did my MBA from Vels University and I joined the University in 2009 and the year of graduation was 2011 and it was one of the most wonderfull experience.
The Department of Management Studies had its beginning in 1998. The department is now branded as the Vels Institute of Business Administration (VIBA). The institute is engaged in offering a two year postgraduate programme in Business Administration (MBA). This course was accepted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India.

Provide you with a foundation in the primary disciplines of management, administration and business, while raising your awareness of the nature, context, and process of entrepreneurship
Develop your awareness and understanding of the importance of issues relating to entrepreneurship as well as an entrepreneurial mindset and capabilities
Teach you about the processes associated with entrepreneurial action, new business development, and entrepreneurial finance
Enable you to develop an analytical appreciation of the entrepreneurial process, its condition in the wider economic background and its apprehension in independent, corporate, family business, and social enterprise contexts
Provide the opportunity for you to undertake an independent research project and the chance to turn a real business idea into a desirable and viable business model.

The Vels Institute of Business Administration is an associate of professional bodies and associations. Predominantly it has an institutional membership in the following organizations:

• Madras Management Association (MMA)
• British Council Library (BCL) and
• Business Line Club (BLC) of The Hindu Media Group.
The teaching – learning process
Learning sessions are supported by group discussions, case analysis, paper presentations, video deliberations, seminars, management games, business diplomacy, role play, in-basket exercises, and industry quizzes. Every student and staff is given a lap-top and the teaching is done with the help of Power-point using LCD projectors. The class rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi Internet.
Various academic programs were organized such as Man Meet,. Entrepreneurship Awareness programmer. There were even exchange program were student get an opportunity to go to Singapore as study tour for nearly two week.
Vels University has its own dedicated auditorium for its MBA students.
The professor and lecturer are highly qualified with industrial experience. Students are even taken for industrial visits to manufacturing organization.
Placement cell is also provided, for the student.
I got two offers during the placement form Shopper Stop and from Nestle
Other facilities are

• Statistical package for Social Sciences
• Managerial Games
• SAP tools.
I would like to conclude by saying that I is one of the best place for academic learning and to become professionally capable.

Placements: More opportunities among the placement of different companies and efficiently take place to recruit the candidate. Chances to get placed in an reputed company and knowing the skills of corporate society and kind of adoption to manage all kind of work.
Infrastructure: Best experience on the basis of infrastructure and the atmosphere of the college. The most important is the exposure in that college. Multiple cultural events and external event which gives more motivation among the students to engage in all activities.
Faculty: Experienced staff and the faculty and the guidance from them was quite interesting and opportunities to gain the insights. The getting of facts from the faculty which can be used in the real life situation and technical support. The kind of relationship among them useful for support .
Other: More industrial visit and the practical exposure to the various industries .
