Really good faculty and teaching methods.

Placements: The placement rate in this college is over 50%. The top hiring companies are Birla group, ICICI Bank, Reliance, Policy Bazaar, etc. The average starting salary ranges from 15000 to 20000. There are no opportunities for internships from my college. Since this is a government college, you don't get a job. On average, the fee for the whole course is 60,000.

Infrastructure: Our college is a heritage building with many historical touches. The classrooms are also quite old, but it's a memorable part of Vidyasagar. Labs, a library and a gym are available. However, there are no hostel facilities in my college but my university does offer hostel accommodation.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and friendly, always there for their students. They are qualified and knowledgeable in their respective domains and try to teach at their level The course curriculum is relevant and updated, and the topics are chosen mainly focusing on the practical aspects. The course curriculum makes the students industry-ready, properly skilled and knowledgeable for the future. The semester exams are hard and need a lot of preparation to pass.

Other: I chose this course because I love it and this course provides me a good practical experience. In my college, many festivals are celebrated, such as the freshmen party, Basanta Utsav, Independence day, Republic Day, etc. My college organizes annual sports; indoor and outdoor games options are available.

Good college but not well maintained.

Placements: The college was good but there was not enough number of faculty members. No salary had been credited to the faculty because it was UG course. 44 students were admitted and only 22 students got the degree. Practical labs were not well maintained and well-equipped. Campus recruitments were not available. Students were quite sincere and scored good in university.

Infrastructure: Library was good, books were distributed to the students. Wi-Fi was not available. Classrooms and labs were not well maintained. Hostel facility was unknown to me as there was no students who stayed at hostel. Canteen was too clingy and food were not as per the quality expected.

Faculty: Few faculty members were knowledgeable and efficient. Many more faculty members were needed. B.Sc. course did not provide any campusing facility. Teachers were helpful. Good books were available at library. Teaching quality was good and students scored well in university exams. Some of the students ranked in university.

Review of Vidyasagar college.

Placements: The placements are provided by TCS. The recruiters visited the college to conduct written exam for interviews in our final year. The one who qualified the interviews got placed. As freshers, they were offered the salary of Rs. 12,000-15,000 per month. The companies didn't offer any internship though. But, more than 40% of the students were placed in TCS.

Infrastructure: As I was a chemical student, the lab was completely suitable for work. All the apparatus and chemicals were available. Wi-Fi was available. Plenty of classrooms were available. The library had numerous books. Food in the canteen was average. Some infrastructure and facilities were missing in the old building.

Faculty: The professors were very helpful. They tried to give all the facilities they could. Lab sessions and lectures given by them have helped me a lot. They were always available for us. They were qualified enough. The student-faculty ratio was 6:1. The college has a number of guest lecturers too.

Other: I was in the morning session, and it was only a girls' college. The college provides coeducation studies in the evening and day shifts. An annual function and sports must be conducted once in a year. Connectivity among students is good. Students from every department get to know about everything that happens in the college.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of bad infrastructure.

Placements: Regarding the placements, our college never helps us with anything they are only concerned about the three years we spent in the college. Moreover, we need to write other entrance examination after completing the UG syllabus, but we do not receive any guidance in that case.

Infrastructure: The whole College campus is very old (more than 100 years) thus it needs good maintenance but our college never pay a penny for that. The water purifiers are not working for more than 89% time of the year, the canteen is very small, and I cannot accommodate more than 20 people at a time and the food you get there is awful. Apart from the canteen, our library does not have any relevant books and even if we accidentally find one we can never lend them.

Faculty: Even after all bad things, our college has some good faculty. All the teachers help the students academically. Maintaining of attendance percentage is compulsory. We get help regarding any subject related matter from the faculty whenever needed. We still have PTM in our college.

Other: Our college has one fest in the year, and that is it.

Review of Vidyasagar College (UG Campus).

Placements: Students will get a job after B.Sc if they possess good marks in graduation. They also get admission in Calcutta University to pursue M.Sc. Most of the students are qualified in JAM in renowned institutions outside the state as BHU, and IIT colleges in Gowhaty, Kanpur, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kharagpur, etc.

Infrastructure: The campus is highly modified with air-conditioned seminar rooms and Shabhaghar where many educational debates take place. It also has a gym for the students, a big library with huge knowledgeable books and a big indoor sports room for girls and boys separately.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are highly qualified and very friendly with the students. They take care of the students who are weak in academics and help financially backward students to grow. Their teaching process is quite different from others. They recommend students with good books and share their personal experiences. Examinations are conducted frequently to keep the students in pressure.

Other: College fee is affordable. The principal and teachers are very cooperative. Mainly teachers from science departments are the best. There are also many cultural activities for students. Not only study students can also grow their hidden talent through these kinds of activities. There are no sexual harassment issues for girls and no ragging.
