I am dissatisfied because of faculty members.
Placements: Our college doesn't provide on-campus placements but some teachers will guide students for placements. Students good at coding and data structures will get good jobs with good salary packages. The role offered in our course is a developer.
Infrastructure: Hardware and software labs are average. Wi-Fi is available all over the campus. Software lab is air-conditioned. Every department has its library. Good food is served in the canteen. Medical support, sports, and games are available.
Faculty: All teachers are not the same because some of them are helpful and some are not. Teachers are very knowledgeable but don't teach well. It is hard to score in internal exams. I scored more in offline semester exams than in online semester exams. Online exam marks are given by the department.
Other: I chose this course because I like computers. I learned a lot about computers in this course. Facilities should be better. Every year, the college union hosts a fest with some special guests which gives fun.

Review of Vidyasagar College.
Placements: The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, LTI, etc. The maximum salary package offered is 4 LPA. However, in this college there exists no placements cell so nobody gets any internships or jobs from here, all students get off-campus drives only.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and library are good. Our computer laboratory is not good. There are 20 computers but most of them have some kind of defects, and none of them except 1 has a network interface to connect to the internet till now. The Wi-Fi does not work well, even the departments cannot rely on this Wi-Fi in this college.
Faculty: Teachers in the department are helpful. There are some exceptions but that's the case in every other college. However, this course of study is highly relevant in our current times, and the semester examinations are moderate. If students have studied decently then it will not be any problem.
Other: The students can checkout the other colleges with a lower fee structure.

Absolutely dissatisfied with everything, no placement initiative by the college.
Placements: 1. No placement is provided by the college. We have to apply for jobs by ourselves.
2. Most of my seniors are working at TCS, getting paid around 20,000.
3. TCS, Cognizant. They do not recruit as such. We have to apply if there are vacancies.
4. Programmer mostly.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very poor. Classroom benches are broken and the campus is extremely unhygienic. Wi-Fi is available with a limit of 1GB/day. Labs do not have proper equipments and 75% of equipments which are there do not work. Computers are not updated. There is no hostel as such. Canteen food is really bad. No opportunity is provided to the people who are good at sports or games or any co-curricular activities.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable but not at all helpful. Poor teaching quality. Only 1-2 teachers genuinely care about the welfare of students. Others don't care at all. Teaching quality is very poor. Chapters are completed by some teachers in 30 minds and some only teach to 2 students who are sitting in the front row. Course curriculum to some extent is relevant if not completely. It does make us industry ready. (On a graduate level).
Other: 1. There is nothing best about my course. Syllabus framing is also poor. Yes it's relevant but not feasible to complete in 6 months.
2. Syllabus framing and proper 6 month gap between semesters. Our 3rd semester exam was conducted within a span of 3 months.
3. Zero. Absolutely zero. Fests do happen but not worth it.

Scope of getting a placement is good, but the teaching faculty and syllabus could be much better.
Placements: There are a total of 38 students in our department. Recently, there was an interview hosted by a couple of companies regarding our placements. Few of the companies were TCS, Microsoft and Wipro. Those who were selected, were told by the company that they'll be under training for a year and will be paid something around 15k to 16k.
Infrastructure: Our entire college has Wi-Fi facility. We have classrooms and two laboratory rooms, one for software practicals and the other for hardware practicals. In library, we have a separate section where all the books related to computer science are kept. We do not have a college hostel.
Faculty: The professors are neither too bad, nor too extraordinary. We are provided the minimum guidance we need but we have to take separate tuition classes for proper grasp of knowledge on the subject. We have heard that the teachers who were here before we joined the college were rather helpful. However, since we joined and some of the professor left, it has been this way. This course in a bit out of date. The syllabus could easily be changed and made into something more relevant.
Other: Computer has been fascinating to me since childhood and thus I have taken this as course in college. More than the hardware practicals, I am more interested in the software practicals. I would hope that they change the syllabus and bring the new software into curriculum rather that the out of date versions. We have our own college fest and each department has their own farewell and fresher's parties. The campus is hygienic and well maintained. Our college also organises sports every year and participates in other college's fest events.
