
XET 2025 Counselling - The Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) conducts the XET 2025 counselling session after the results of the online test and the Zoom interviews are declared. XET 2025 results were declared on May 5, 2025. XET counselling is the process through which candidates who pass the exam are allotted seats in the institute. It involves document verification and course fee payment. The deadline to pay the tuition fee for shortlisted students was May 19, 2025. A waitlist is published for candidates who fail to pay the admission and course fees on the first deadline. An extended deadline will be announced for the waitlisted students. If candidates fail to pay their fees within the stipulated period, the institute will consider that he/she wish to forego his/her seat. XIC will then approach the next in line on the waitlist. The applications for XIC Entrance Test 2025 is open from March 1 to 31, 2025. Aspirants can apply online on - xaviercomm.org. Applicants must be 35 years of age or younger. They must also have completed 3 years of graduation in the streams of Arts, Commerce, Science, Computers, BMM, BMS, BE, Catering, etc. from a recognised institute. Applicants can also be appearing for their final semester exams (academic year 2024-25).
The XIC Entrance Test consists of one Objective and one Subjective section. Candidates will be given separate time to complete both the sections (30 minutes each). Questions in the objective section will be based on Language Skills, General Knowledge and Knowledge of Media, Logical and Analytical skills. In the subjective section, a total of 4 questions will be asked. The question will be designed to test the aspirants' creativity, social values, writing skills, subject-specific knowledge, etc.

Yes. Based on a candidate's score in the online test, they will be called for the interviews. The interview will be conducted via a Zoom call. Details about the call will be sent to them on their registered email IDs. Questions in the interview will be based on general knowledge, personal academic histories, Statement of Purpose (SOP) submitted with the application form, etc.
Candidates will receive the admit card via email at least a week before the exam date. They are advised to check their inbox along with their spam or junk mail so that they do not miss out on the admit card. Candidates are also advised to preserve their admit card carefully as only this document will be accepted in all further transactions between them and XIC.
Candidates will have to select their preferred XET date (out of the dates announced on the website) at the time of registration. The test link, password and login details will be sent to candidates just before their allocated time slot. More exam day instructions will be communicated to the applicants via this email by the exam body.
XIC XET Fee Refund Procedure
In case the applicant wishes to withdraw the admission before the stipulated time, the amounts will be refunded after deduction of 1000/- from the Registration fees and 5000/- deduction from the tuition fees = 7080/- (inclusive of GST). In case the Application to withdraw the admission is made after the given time, the amounts will be refunded after deduction of Rs.1000/- from the registration fees and 25% deduction from the tuition fees and GST as applicable.
In case admission is withdrawn by the student on or after the classes commence, the amounts will be refunded after a deduction of 1000/- from the registration fees and a 50% deduction from the tuition fees and GST as applicable.
Note: Any withdrawal of admission by a student for any reason whatsoever after the admission cycle is closed will result in the forfeiture of the entire fee. Only the library deposit will be refunded.

To fill the application form, aspirants must click on the 'Register Now' button that pops up on first visiting the site. From there, they can register and go on to fill the XET 2025 application form.

No, aspirants can only take XET 2025 in English. All the questions will be asked in English and must strictly be answered in English only. The exam body also mentions on its website that examinees must not use any slang, informal short forms or SMS language while answering their questions. Such answers will not be assessed at all.
According to the exam pattern of XET 2025, the total marks allotted to the test are 100. Each section (objective and subjective) will hold 50 marks. Each question in the objective section will hold 1 mark while the 50 marks allotted to the subjective section will be divided among 4 questions. There will be no negative marking in the test.
