XET 2026 counselling will be conducted by Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) after the results of the online test and the Zoom interviews are declared. The XET 2026 exams will be tentatively conducted in April 2026. Through the XIC OET counselling process, institute aims to allot seats to the candidates who pass the exam.

The XET counselling process includes document verification as well as course fee payment. The university will announce the last date to pay tuition fee for admission to courses offered at XIC. A waitlist will be published for candidates who fail to pay the admission and course fees on the first deadline. An extended deadline will be announced for the waitlisted students. If candidates fail to pay their fees within the stipulated period, the institute will consider that he/she wish to forego his/her seat. XIC will then approach the next in line on the waitlist.
