XET 2026 Pattern: The Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC) releases the Xavier's Entrance Test pattern 2026 at xaviercomm.org. The exam pattern includes sections, exam duration, mode of examination, and marks. As per pattern, the test will be a computer-based, online test that examinees can take from their homes or internet cafes. There will be both objective and subjective-type questions in the XET 2026 paper. The language medium of XET 2026 will be English. As per the institute's website, the test will be an hour long. Examinees will get 30 minutes to attempt each section. Both the sections will carry 50 marks each.

The objective-type questions will be based on Language Skills, General Knowledge and Knowledge of Media, and Logical and Analytical Skills. The questions in the subjective section will be media-related and designed to test students on their social values, creativity, writing skills, etc.

Q:   When should one start preparing for XIC Entrance Test (XET)?

Students should start preparing for XET at least four months before exams. It takes time to prepare for XIC entrance test. So, students are advised to start with syllabus early. Also, they are advised to focus on current events for General Awareness section and solving reasoning questions quickly to save time.

Q:   When will the XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2026 exam be conducted?
A: 

The Xavier's Institute of Communication has announced the exam dates for XIC OET 2026 exams. The XIC online test will held on 12th, 18th and 19th April 2026. The Zoom interview of selected candidates will be conducted from 24 April to 26 April 2026.

The exact date and time of the exam will be mentioned in the candidate's admit card, and login credentials will be given on registered email ID, just before the allotted time slot.

Q:   How will I get to know about my XIC Entrance Test (XET) exam date?

Candidates can check the XET dates on its official website - xaviercomm.org. XIC OET 2026 exam dates have been released. The online test will be conducted on 12, 18 and 19 April 2026; and Zoom interview will held from 24 to 26 April 2026. The test link, password and login details will be sent to candidates just before their allocated time slot. More exam day instructions will be communicated to the applicants on their registered email by the exam body.

Q:   When will the XIC Entrance Test (XET) 2026 result be declared?

Once the XET entrance exam 2026 (online test & interview) is over, the institute will release a tentative final list of selected candidates on the official website - xaviercomm.org. The XIC OET 2026 result will be tentatively announced on May 04, 2026 (at 4 pm). The selected candidates will have to pay their course's tuition fee to confirm their admission by May 15, 2026. After that the institute will also release a wait list, tentatively on May 16, 2026 (at 4 pm).

XIC Entrance Test (XET) Eligibility Criteria 2026

To be eligible for admission to Xavier Institute of Communications, a candidate must be of:

  • 35 years or below in age.
  • completed 3 years of Graduation (12+3 years) in a university-approved stream in India, including Arts, Commerce, Science, Computers, BMM, BMS, BE, Catering, etc.
    OR
  • appearing for the last semester or Third-year Graduation in the present academic year.

If a candidate is appearing for the last semester or third year graduation in the current academic session and gets selected for the XET course, he/she will get the PG Diploma certificate only if the candidate has completed the graduation and submitted the relevant attested Final mark-sheet of their graduation.

As per official website, registered candidates will get their XIC OET admit card after registering for test. They hall ticket will be shared on registered email ID. For 2026, the XIC OET interview dates are 24th, 25th and 26th April 2026.

No, aspirants can only take XET 2026 in English. All the questions will be asked in English and must strictly be answered in English only.
