Annamalai University BE Admission 2021

At the UG level, a full-time BE programme is offered under the Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FEAT). Annamalai BTech admissions are based on TNEA Counselling. The programme is offered across 12 specialisations with an annual fee range of Rs 53,650- Rs 66,200. The duration of all the BE specialisations is four academic years, comprising eight semesters. Eligibility Criteria: Tamil Nadu candidates, who have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for OBC/ SC/ ST/ SCA candidates) or candidates must fulfil the required eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE), Government of Tamil Nadu

The University also offers lateral entry admission to BE programme. The programme duration reduces to three years, comprising six semesters. For BE (Lateral Entry) admissions, candidates have to pass a three-year diploma in the relevant stream with an aggregate of 45%. Admission to the programme is granted on the basis of a counselling round, conducted by Alagappa Chettiar Government College of Engineering & Technology. In addition to this, Annamalai University offers BE programme in a part-time mode for a duration of seven semesters. The annual fee for the programme is Rs 46,300 and is offered across four specialisations. The University conducts an entrance exam and an interview round to shortlist candidates for BE (part-time) admission 2021. The eligibility details of the programme are as follows:

Eligibility Criteria: Possess a three-year diploma degree in a relevant stream along with a minimum of two years of work experience. The admission is restricted to those working or residing within a radius of 90 km from Annamalainagar

Candidates, who wish to apply for more than one course offered by Annamalai University, are required to fill separate application forms for each course. To elaborate on the above steps, the step-by-step application process of Annamalai University is given below:

Step 1: Visit the official website of Annamalai University (www.annamalaiuniversity.ac.in). On its homepage, click on “Admissions On-Campus Portal”.

Step 2: On the left menu of the landing page, click on 'Application Online' link that opens a drop-down menu.

Step 3: Click on the Engineering stream to apply for BE admission. On clicking the stream tab, a new page opens up.

Step 4: On this page, the prospectus of all the courses is available, followed by registration links. Click on the BE programme under the 'New Applicant' tab.

Step 5: The registration page opens up. Register by filling in details, including name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, etc. Also, create an alpha-numeric password for future logins. Hit the ‘Submit’ button once done.

Step 6: The Annamalai University application form open up. Fill in other details, including personal information, qualifications, guardian details, etc.

Step 7: Select the payment method. In case of offline payment, visit the nearest ICICI bank to deposit the money using net banking.

Step 8: Upload all the required documents in PDF format along with a passport-size photo of less than 50 kb in JPEG/ JPG format.

Step 9: Conclude the application process by taking a printout of the application form.

Annamalai University Scholarships 2021

Annamalai University offers multiple scholarships to the students based on merit, category and community. Most of the Annamalai University scholarships are as per the norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Some of these popular scholarships are enlisted below:

  • Application fee concession to SC/ ST and converted Christian students: Entrance/ Course application fee concession is granted to students belonging to SC/ ST community and converted Christians by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
  • Tuition fee concession to SC/ ST and converted Christian students: Full tuition fee concession is granted to students belonging to SC/ ST community and converted Christians under rule 92 of Tamil Nadu Education Rules by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
  • Post-Matric Scholarship: Covering special fees, examination fees and maintenance charges will be awarded to students belonging to SC/ ST Community provided guardian’s income from all sources does not exceed Rs 50,000 per annum (Rs 2.5 LPA for ST and Rs 2 LPA for converted Christians).
  • Higher Education Special Scholarship: Higher Education Special Scholarship is awarded to hostel students belonging to SC/ ST and converted Christian community with annual parental income less than Rs 2.5 LPA. The number of scholarships is limited by the Government.
  • Fee concession to blind students: Under this scheme, full tuition fee concession is granted to blind students irrespective of community provided that the annual parental income does not exceed Rs 24,000.
  • Scholarships for women students pursuing PG programme: This scholarship is awarded to PG students belonging to SC/ ST community studying under the faculty of Arts/ Science.
  • First Graduate Tuition Fee Concession: The government of Tamil Nadu has ordered to grant tuition fee concession to the candidates who are to be the First graduate in a family
