Cracking the entrance exam with high scores is the aim of every student to get admission in their desired college. To accomplish this, one needs to understand the topic clearly and practise regularly.

How to obtain a high score

Devise a proper plan and practise from Class 11 is more important for this type of examinations. Practise the problems in previous year questions papers regularly, identify weak points and work on those to understand the topic clearly. Like every competitive exam, time management is crucial for students preparing for COMEDK. Hence, students must work on enhancing their time management skills every day.

Correct Study Material

The right study material is important for students preparing for competitive exams like COMEDK. The study material/ reference books to prepare for this exam are given below:

  • NCERT books for all respective subjects
  • Previous question papers
  • Examination Structure

The marking scheme for COMEDK is as follows:

Physics: Heat and Thermodynamics, Kinetic Energy, Oscillations, Current and Electricity, Electromagnetic Induction, Alternating Current, Units of Measurement, Motion in One, Two and Three Dimensions

Mathematics: Calculus, Vectors, Differential Equations, Three-Dimensional Geometry, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry, Logarithmic Series, Matrices and Determinants, Circles, Probability

Self-evaluation

  • Practise mock tests and analyse the performance
  • Work towards increasing the score
  • Avoid repeating the mistakes
  • Option available if the score is low

In case, the score of a student in COMEDK is low, then there is no need to worry. The students should enrol for other exams such as JEE Main/Advanced, EAMCET and some other institutions. In my opinion, it is not wise to waste a year for a particular competitive examination.

Scoring Topics

The students should know about the high weightage topics in each subject

The high-scoring topics would be a key factor and have an impact on the final score

Students could also score well if they are aware of the topics covered in JEE preparation

Best colleges with a low score

It is not advised to take admission in any college if one’s score is low in COMEDK as with low scores students could not get admission in a reputed college.

Instead, students could apply for universities like SASTRA (Deemed to be University), SSN College of Engineering (SSNCE) etc.

The counselling is based on the ranks, therefore, students must focus on achieving high scores in this exam
