My years at MM(DU) helped me gain confidence: Alina Prasai

There is a saying that “Hesitation is the main hindrance in one’s success” and the same was with me. It was only my faculty members and friends who helped me overcome my hesitation and make decisions.

For me, life has always been quite the roller-coaster ride, but not now. I came to India with big dreams and high hopes. Just like any other girl, I too had dreams, but lack of confidence was a major roadblock in my way to success. With comprehensive interests, I wanted to touch pinnacles of success and Maharishi Markandeshwar (Deemed to be University), Mullana helped me a lot with this.

There is a saying that “Hesitation is the main hindrance in one’s success” and the same was with me. It was only my faculty members and friends who helped me overcome my hesitation and make decisions.

As I have a passion for acting, dancing, and modelling, my teachers inspired me to start with participating in college competitions. This not only boosted my confidence but also changed me from an introvert girl to a much confident and friendly person.

I recently won the title of Ms. Infusion 2019 from IIM Rohtak and also bagged the title of Miss Charming Vibgyor 2019 from Baba Farid Group of Institutions. I also seized many prizes and awards in acting and dancing in college competitions.

I am extremely privileged and honoured to be a part of MM(DU). The university helped me a lot in nurturing my academic skills and preparing me for future settlements. Apart from providing best-in-class education, the University has given me wings to fly with my dreams.

In the end, all I can say that this is just the beginning. Though my achievements are not that big, anyhow all these will perhaps help me in my future endeavours to shine like a star. The happiness, the confidence, the freedom that I grabbed to express my feelings in the form of acting and dance is just the magic of this university.
