Calculation of VITEEE Result
VIT uses a statistical process of Equi-percentile Equating to identify the percentile ranks for aspirants. Basis this process, the scores on different forms with the same percentile rank are considered to be equivalent. Aspirants are advised not to draw assumptions and predictions of their score or rank based on their estimates of scores.
What is Equating Methodology?
The equating methodology is used to provide equal opportunities for all the candidates appeared in the VITEEE 2021. As the exam is conducted in different slots and days, the methodology help in creating the result keeping all the students at the same level despite they appeared in the slot with easier or difficult paper. Therefore, the university balances the scores of all candidates considering various factors.
VITEEE Result: Notable Points
- There is no provision to send the marks of the candidates (selected or unselected) by post.
- Candidates’ ranks will be intimated through SMS immediately after the VIT Results 2021 announcement if the mobile number is provided.
- There will be no provision for re-ranking and re-totalling.
VITEEE Cutoff 2021
Candidates must note here that the university will NOT announce any cut off marks for any course. The closing rank for any engineering stream will be considered as the cutoff for the VITEEE 2021. The university will assign the percentile rank to candidates based on their performance in the exam. The university will use the equating methodology to predict the candidates rank. Following are the determining factors for VITEEE cutoff:
- Number of candidates who appeared in the exam
- Number of candidates qualified in the exam
- Highest marks obtained by any candidate
- The difficulty level of the exam
- Availability of seats

VITEEE 2021 Counselling
The VIT University will conduct the VITEEE 2021 counselling, for the qualified candidates from June 21. VIT conducts counselling /seat allocation process based on the ranks acquired by candidates in the exam. VITEEE 2021 counselling procedure is mentioned below:
- Candidates selected for the VITEEE counselling will be intimated through email or SMS.
- Candidates have to attend VITEEE 2021 Counselling in person.
- Candidates must bring a Demand Draft (DD) of INR 50,000, at the counselling centre. The amount includes counselling fee (non-refundable) of Rs 10,000.
- Along with the DD, candidates must also bring the following documents to be verified at the counselling centre:
- VITEEE 2021 admit card
- VITEEE 2021 rank Card
- Class 10 passing certificate
- Marks sheets of the qualifying examination
- Reservation category certificate
- Domicile certificate
- Fill in the choice of your courses and campus. Allotment will be done based on the VITEEE rank, availability of seats, and the branch preference.
- Seat allotted once done will not be changed under any circumstances.
