Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test 2026 ( CG PET )
CG PET 2026 counselling dates will be announced online at cgdte.admissions.nic.in. All qualified candidates will have to participate in the counselling process for admission into the participating institutes. During the counselling process, the candidates will have to register and pay the required fee. Next, the candidates will have to select their choice of courses and colleges in order of preference. CG PET 2026 seat allotment result will be declared online. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank and seat availability. Once allotted, the candidates will have to confirm their admission before the final date. The round-wise CG PET 2026 cutoff will also be released during the counselling. CG PET 2026 Counselling Process
CG PET 2026 counselling process will be held online. No other mode will be used to conduct the counselling of CG PET. To be eligible for admission, all candidates will have to register for the counselling.
Step 1 - Registration: In the first step, the candidates will have to visit the official website and register for the counselling. For the registration process, the candidates will have to provide their CG PET/JEE Main roll number, domicile, date of birth, etc. The candidates also have to create a unique password for future login. The CG PET 2026 counselling registration number will be sent to the candidates after the registration is completed.
Step 2 - Filling out the Form: After registration, the candidates will have to log in and fill out the form with the required personal, academic and contact details. All of the submitted information should be valid.
Step 3 - Uploading of Documents: Next, the candidates will have to upload their scanned passport-size photograph and signature as per the official specifications. If the documents do not meet the specifications, then the candidates will not be able to proceed with the counselling application process.

Step 4 - Fee Payment: After the files are uploaded, the candidates will have to pay the counselling fee of INR 300. The mode of payment is online, i.e., through credit card/debit card/net banking. No other mode of payment will be accepted. If the candidates are unable to pay the fee before the final date, then they will not be allowed to participate in the counselling process.
Step 5 - Choice Filling: The selection of courses and colleges in the order of preference has to be done by the registered candidates. It is important to select the correct order of preference as it is considered for allotment. Candidates are advised to submit as many options as possible to raise their chances of allotment in the preferred institute. A printout of the submitted options should be taken for future reference.
Step 6 - Document Verification: Based on their obtained ranks, the candidates will be called in for document verification. The original documents, along with a set of photocopies, have to be presented at the verification centres physically by the candidates. A receipt and an acknowledgement slip will be given to the candidates after the verification is completed. In case the candidates are unable to be physically present for the counselling process, then the authorities allow them to attend instead if a medical certificate is provided. The candidates also have to authorise the parents for the verification process.
Step 7 - Seat Allotment: The authorities will announce the CG PET 2026 seat allotment result separately for all rounds. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank and preferences. The CG PET seat allotment 2026 letter has to be downloaded by the candidates by logging in using the required credentials.
Step 8 - Confirmation of Admission: The allotted candidates will have to confirm their admission by reporting to their respective institutes. To make the confirmation, the candidates will have to produce their provisional allotment letter, pay the tuition fee and submit the documents. If the candidates fail to confirm their admission before the final date, then their allotment will be cancelled.

During the CG PET counselling, the candidates will be required to keep certain documents ready for verification. If the candidates are unable to verify their original documents along with the photocopies before the final date, then their admission will be cancelled. To be eligible for CG PET admission, all students should have passed 12th standard (or equivalent) qualifying entrance examination with Maths, Physics and Chemistry. A minimum of 45% marks should have been scored in the exam (40% for reserved category).
In case two or more candidates secured the same CG PET score, then the predefined tie-breaking guidelines are followed by the authorities. Based on their performance in the 12th standard examination, the students will be ranked to break the tie.
JEE Main scores will be accepted for CG PET admission. Students with a valid JEE Main score do not have to attempt the CG PET exam but can directly register for the counselling process. Selection will be done based on rank, eligibility and preferences.
