Prepare a timetable: After knowing the syllabus and exam pattern, the candidates are advised to make a proper timetable for all the subjects. It is important for the candidates to make a wise table so that they can follow it daily. So first, divide the time for each of the subjects equally.

Also, they have to make sure to maintain a strict routine on a daily basis and avoid random or weekend preparation sessions. Consistency is most important here. Divide sections as per the time in hand and plan study hours accordingly.

Practice from previous years question papers: It is necessary for all candidates is to practice with the previous years’ question papers. It is imperative to practice as many sample papers as the candidates can to know the weightage of topics from each subject and also they will be able to find out their weak areas and put the focus on them for improvement.

Keep short notes & revise wisely: While preparing for the exam, make short notes on a regular basis. This will be helpful at the time of revision. Candidates can write short forms, formulas or abbreviations so that they need not go through the entire syllabus again. The short notes should be precise and in bulleted points as topics prepared in such a manner will be easier to notice and therefore convenient during revision.

Avoid last-minute preparation: In the last lap of preparation, avoid taking any new topics from any subject. This will create chaos and further confusion. Rather, it is advised to dedicate the time to revise the units, topics and that the candidates have already studied so far. In the last week, candidates should be determined and very subjective in terms of the syllabus to be revised. They should study only those topics, which are weak, and needs improvement.

Stressbusters: It is not a very good idea to pressurize oneself during preparation. Candidates are advised to include stress busters whenever they feel burdened. They can watch their favourite television show, go for a movie, a small outing or play their favourite indoor or outdoor games. Always remember, stress will never gain marks in the exam, so better try avoiding it.
