CG PET 2026 counselling admission - round 1

CG PET 2026 counselling round 2 registration will start on July 17. There will be 2 main rounds and one institutional round in the CG PET 2026 counselling. Qualified candidates have to register online at cgdte.admissions.nic.in to participate in the counselling rounds and admission process.
Selection of courses and colleges has to be done in order of preference. Once choices are selected, they cannot be changed. The CG PET 2026 seat allotment result will be announced online. Seat allotment will be done according to the candidate's rank in CG PET 2026 and seat availability. After allotment, candidates will have to confirm their admission before the last date. CG PET 2026 Counselling Merit List
The CG PET counselling merit list is published by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Chhattisgarh, following the declaration of entrance exam results. Once released, you can find the merit list on the official DTE Chhattisgarh portal:
- Navigate to the Official DTE Admissions Site.
- Look for the "Merit List" section under the B.Tech/Engineering category.
- Click the relevant round (e.g., Round 1, Round 2, or Spot Round) to view or download the PDF.
Alternatively, entrance-level merit status can be checked via the Vyapam Login using your registered mobile number and password.

Commonly asked questions
JEE Main scores will be accepted for CG PET admission. Students with a valid JEE Main score do not have to attempt the CG PET exam but can directly register for the counselling process. Selection will be done based on rank, eligibility and preferences.
For CG PET admission, students should have passed 12th class qualifying entrance examination with Maths, Physics and Chemistry. A minimum of 45% marks should have been scored in exam. For reserved category, minimum marks is 40%.
In case two or more candidates secure same CG PET score, then tie breaking guidelines are followed by authorities. Based on their performance in the 12th class examination, students will be ranked to break tie.

CG PET 2026 Counselling Process
To secure admission, candidates must participate in the online CG PET counselling process. There will be no in-person counselling sessions.
- Candidates are required to register for counselling by providing essential information. While completing the online counselling application, all necessary details must be accurately submitted.
- In the counselling application, candidates need to upload their photograph and signature. If these documents are submitted incorrectly, the application will be rejected.
- A counselling fee of INR 300 must be paid online using a credit card, debit card, or net banking. Candidates should select courses and colleges in order of preference.
- Based on their ranks, candidates will be summoned for document verification. At the verification center, they must present their documents.
- The result of CG PET 2026 seat allotment will be released online. Seats will be assigned based on rank and preferences.
