As the institute is fairly new, it is understandable that it will take some time before it builds a similar reputation as other top NITs. It has a decent infrastructure and the library has a wide range of books spanning over various topics. The faculty are said to be knowledgeable, helpful and amazing at their work. The National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh was established under the NIT Act by MHRD, and the Government of India in 2010. Earlier, the National Institute of Technology Arunachal Pradesh was functioning under the mentorship of NIT Durgapur.
