HPCET 2026 application form dates will be announced soon. Students will be able to access the HPCET application form online. To participate in the entrance exam, the candidates will have to fill out and submit the application form before the final date. After the final date, the authorities will not accept any applications. All required details have to be submitted carefully in the application form.

HPCET 2026 exam date has not been announced. The authorities will conduct HPCET 2026 offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test at various centres. The candidates will have to attempt and qualify the entrance exam to be eligible for BTech courses offered by the participating institutes. During the exam, the candidates will have to attempt objective multiple choice questions and the correct answer has to be selected from the available options.

While filling out the HPCET application form, the candidates will have to pay the fee to be registered for the examination and admission process. Candidates will be able to make the fee payment online i.e., through net banking/debit card/credit card/UPI. SC/ST/BPL category candidates have to pay INR 800 as the HPCET application fee, while other category candidates will have to pay INR 1,600. If the candidates are not able to pay the fee, then the application will not be accepted. 

Candidates will be able to register for HPCET online at the official website. During the registration process, the candidates will have to provide their basic details. A password also has to be generated for future login. After the registration is done, the candidates will have to log in and fill out the application form with the required personal, academic and contact details. Next, the candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature, as per the official specifications. Finally, the application fee has to be paid online.

Yes. Candidates are advised to refer to and study the entire HPCET syllabus, as prescribed by the authorities. Since the question paper will be prepared based on the official syllabus, the candidates are advised to be familiar with the prescribed syllabus of HPCET. However, the candidates can select and give more time to some of the important topics that are likely to present in the question paper and have a higher weightage. The list of important topics can be checked from the previous year papers. 

HPCET syllabus will be prepared and released online by the authorities. The subjects, topics and units that need to be studied for the upcoming entrance examination is released through the HPCET syllabus. Candidates are advised to refer to the official syllabus to understand what is to be studied and prepared to perform well in the examination. HPCET syllabus consists of the topics and units from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Along with the syllabus, the candidates are advised to check the official HPCET exam pattern.

The marking scheme of HPCET is released online. Candidates are advised to check the marking scheme carefully to understand how their responses will be marked. For every correct answer, the authorities will award four marks to the candidates. However, one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Since there is negative marking, the candidates are advised to be careful while attempting the questions of HPCET. 

No. HPCET will be held offline i.e., as a pen-and-paper-based test. Candidates will have to report to their allotted centre and attempt the examination in offline mode. HPCET consists of multiple-choice questions that have to be attempted in 3 hours 15 minutes. All of the answers have to be marked in OMR sheets. The entrance examination will not be held in any other mode. 

Yes. Mock tests are important for HPCET preparation. By attempting the mock tests, the candidates will be able to understand the exam pattern and how the entrance examination will be conducted. Mock test will also allow the candidates to identify their commonly made mistakes and help them to correct it so that the same mistakes do not occur during the examination. Another advantage of regularly attempting mock tests is that the candidates will be able to work on their time management skills.

Creating a personalized timetable is essential during the HPCET preparation as it will allow the candidates to complete their preparation well before the examination. Candidates are advised to divide the subjects and topics carefully so that the studying process does not feel monotonous. The syllabus should be completed beforehand so that enough time is provided for revision. The authorities will release HPCET result online. Candidates will be able to check their obtained scores and ranks through the HPCET result. The given steps can be followed to check the result of HPCET. No other mode will be used to release the HPCET result.

Yes, the authorities do prepare tie-breaking rules in case two or more candidates secure the same marks in HPCET or the qualifying exam. In such situations, firstly, the candidates who have a higher HPCET score in Physics will be ranked higher, followed by Chemistry. In case the tie still remains, then the qualifying examination marks will be taken into consideration for allotment of ranks. Finally, if the tie does not break, then the candidates who are older in age will be allotted the higher rank.

While reporting to the allotted colleges to confirm their admission through HPCET counselling, the candidates will have to present certain documents for verification. If the candidates unable to present their documents for verification, then they will not be able to confirm their admission. • 10th standard mark sheet
• 12th standard mark sheet
• 10th standard pass certificate (for age proof)
• Caste/category certificate (if applicable)
• School leaving certificate

HPCET counselling will be held in online mode. Qualified candidates will be required to fill out the application form for the HPCET counselling process online. All of the required details have to provided online and the candidates will have to upload their documents and pay the fee. The choice filling process has to be completed online before the final date. The authorities will release the HPCET 2025 seat allotment result online. For confirmation of admission, the candidates will have to report to their allotted college, verify their documents and pay the tuition fee.
