Q:   How much marks are deducted for skipping questions in KIITEE Management?

No marks are deducted for skipping a question in KIITEE Management. There is negative marking for only incorrect attempts. For incorrect attempt, 1 mark is deducted. Thus, candidates must ensure they attempt a question only if they are sure of the answer. A large number of incorrect attempts will affect overall score more than a large number of unattempted questions.

Q:   How many questions are there in Issue of Social Concern section of KIITEE Management?
A: 

There are a total of 20 questions in Issue of Social Concern section of KIITEE Management. Candidates can attempt as many questions they want to. Attempting all the questions is not mandatory. There is negative marking in KIITEE Management exam, so candidates must not do guess work. Attempt only those questions which they are sure of.

Q:   I am preparing for CAT. Is it necessary to prepare for KIITEE Management separately?

Q:   What is the difficulty level of KIITEE MBA question paper?

The difficulty level of KIITEE Management question paper is easy to moderate. Candidates can crack the exam with appropriate preparation of about three to four months. Those who have taken any national level test, can crack KIITEE MBA exam only by revision. The questions are asked from familiar topics, except in Issues of Social Concern. Even that section is not so difficult if one’s basic are in place. When preparing for KIITEE MBA, check out question papers of previous years to know what types of questions are asked. Solve them to assess your preparation level.

Q:   What is the mode of KIITEE Management exam?
A: 

KIITEE Management exam is conducted in online or computer based test mode at designated examination centres in 15 cities across India. The exam centres are allotted to candidates as per their choice of city. Candidates have to mention their preferred city for allotment of test centre in the KIITEE MBA application form.

In a computer based test, each candidate is allotted a computer system. They have to log into KIITEE MBA dashboard to access the test. They can read the question on screen and use the computer mouse to choose the correct answer from the options given under every question.

Candidates have to complete marking the correct answers within the stipulated time. There will be an onscreen camera indicating time left for the test window to close. Once the test window closes, candidates cannot make any entry.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for KIITEE MBA?
A: 

To appear for KIITEE MBA exam, a candidate needs to have completed graduation or equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate or equivalent. The minimum score qualification of 50 per cent applies to Reserved category candidates too. The graduation degree can be in any stream but must be from a recognised university. 

 Students who are in their final year of bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to appear in the KIITEE MBA exam. Final year students are also eligible to apply. However, they will have to ensure that their aggregate in the first two years in above 50 per cent and the final year scores (when announced) is also above 50 per cent. Until they submit their final year graduation result, their admission to KSOM will remain provisional.

Quantitative Aptitude section has 40 questions, Analytical Reasoning has 40 questions, English has 30 questions, General Knowledge has 20 questions and Issue of Social concern has 20 questions.

Marking scheme is same for all sections, i.e. three marks are awarded for correct attempt and one mark is deducted for incorrect attempt. Total marks of the exam are 450. Sectional weightage of each section marks wise is:

Q:   What are the items to carry on the KIITEE Management exam day?
A: 

Every candidate must carry a blue/black ball point pen and a few copies of their passport size photo to the exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Candidates who have diabetes can carry fruits as per medical prescription. They should also carry a medical affidavit for the same. PWD candidates will be required to carry a PwD certificate and scribe certificate, attested by a competent authority.

 No other item will be allowed inside the KIITEE Management exam venue. Candidates must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the KIITEE MBA exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified.

Q:   What is the marking scheme of KIITEE MBA exam pattern?

In KIITEE MBA, 3 marks are added for each correct attempt and 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect attempt. There is no deduction of marks for unattempted questions. So candidates must choose questions carefully to avoid negative marking.

The preparation strategy for KIITEE MBA is given below. 

  • Be consistent: To prepare for KIITEE MBA, be consistent with the approach. Make a timetable and try to maintain a routine for your studies.
  • Practice Mock Tests: MBA preparation strategy should include attempting a lot of mock test series. They will help you know where you stand and in which topics you need to put in more effort.
  • Work on speed and accuracy: Speed and accuracy are very important in competitive exams like the MBA. KIITEE has 150 questions to be answered in 150 minutes. The paper has maximum questions from Reasoning. Many Quant questions are calculation-based, and there are long RC passages. Even though you don't have to attempt all the questions, 150 minutes will still feel less if your speed is not up to the mark.
  • Give attention to all the sections: There is no sectional time limit, so candidates must have enough practice in the timely completion of every section of the exam. Prepare well for all the sections, as the number of questions for any section may increase or decrease.
  • Group study: Candidates can also opt for this form of preparation. It helps in solving reasoning, mental ability, quants questions. It is also beneficial in group discussions.

The total time duration of KIITEE MBA exam is 150 minutes or 2.5 hours without break. Candidates have to complete the test in 150 minutes only. There is no sectional time limit in KIITEE MBA so candidates can make a strategy accordingly. They can allot more time to tougher subjects and finish the easy sections in less time. Extra time will be given only to PwD candidates. It is not mandatory to attempt all the questions so candidates can also determine the number of questions to solve and then allot the time accordingly.

Q:   I have less than 50 per cent in graduation. Can I apply for KIITEE Management exam?
A: 

No, you can’t apply for KIITEE MBA. KIIT SOM has the eligibility criteria of minimum 50 per cent in graduation for all candidates. There is no marks relaxation for Reserved category candidates either. The minimum score criterion is fixed by the AICTE for full-time MBA degree programmes for all colleges in India, which the institutes have to follow. Thus, those planning to purse MBA must score a minimum of 50 per cent in graduation.

Even if you are applying while still in graduation, you need to have an aggregate of 50 per cent in the first two years of the degree course. If you do not have the minimum score required, your application form will be rejected.

Q:   Are there subjective questions in KIITEE Management exam?
A: 

There are no subjective questions in KIITEE Management exam. There are only objective type questions. Every question is accompanied by 4 options to choose the correct answer. Candidates have to choose only one option to mark as their response.

Q:   How to apply for KSOM MBA with CAT score?
A: 

To apply for KSOM MBA with CAT score, candidates need to fill KIIT SOM MBA application form and mention their CAT score in the relevant field. They also need to upload the CAT scorecard in the fprm. The process to apply for KIITEE Management through CAT/MAT/CMAT or other MBA entrance exam score is given below:

  • Open the KSOM website 
  • Click on 'Apply Online'
  • Enter name, email ID, mobile number, city and state
  • Click on 'I agree' check box and 'register'
  • Fill the application form for KIITEE Management
  • Enter your CAT score

Yes, you must preserve the KIITEE Management admit card even after the exam as it may be needed at the time of admission. The KIITEE MBA admit card is one of the main documents, a proof of candidate’s attendance in the exam. Thus, they must preserve it. Many colleges and institutes even ask for the admit card as part of document submission at the time of personal interview round for MBA admission. The admit card contains your personal and residential details which can be misused if the admit card lands in wrong hands. Thus, candidates must take care of their KIITEE Management admit cards until the admission process is over and even after that.

Q:   Is there form correction option in KIITEE Management?

There is no form correction option in KIITEE Management. The application form once submitted will not be editable. Thus, candidates while filling the KIITEE Management application form will have to ensure that they do not make any error in mentioning important information. Personal information will be verified by the institute at the time of admission and if any information is found to be untrue, the candidature will be cancelled.  

Q:   Will calculator be provided in the KIITEE Management exam?

There will be an onscreen calculator which candidates can use to do calculations and rough work during the exam. The examination authority will also provide rough sheets to candidates to do manual calculation, if they don't wish to use the on screen calculator.

Q:   What stationary items to carry on KIITEE Management exam day?
A: 

Candidates are supposed to carry only a blue/black ball point pen on the KIITEE Management exam day. The pen will be used for signing the attendance sheet and doing rough work (if required). No other stationary items such as books, notebooks, loose sheets, pencils, pencil-bags, etc. will be allowed inside the examination centre.
