What is SNAP percentile?

SNAP percentile means a candidate's rank against all test takers. It is calculated on the basis of marks scored. For example, total marks in SNAP is 60, so any candidate getting the highest score out of 60 will get 99.99 percentile. Many a times, more than one candidates get highest score so their percentiles are same.

Is the SNAP answer key released after exam?

The official answer key of SNAP is not released. It used to be released till 2019, but since 2020, when the exam was revised to three session mode, the examination body does not release the official SNAP answer key. Since, the format of the exam now is such that it gives the candidate a chance to improve their score, only the scorecards are released finally. Candidates can however get the unofficial and memory based answer keys from MBA preparation coaching institutes and study groups. For how long is SNAP scorecard be available for download?

SNAP scorecard is available for download for about 1 year from the date of release. Test takers will be able to download their scorecards any number of times by using their login credentials. After one year, the link to download SNAP scorecard will be deactivated.

What if I do not make it to the first list of SIU admission through SNAP?

If your name does not reflect in the first list of candidates selected for admission through SNAP, then you must wait for second list. Colleges release wait list of candidates who are eligible for admission, if the seats remain vacant after first round of admission.

Overview

SNAP 2025 result was announced on January 9, 2026. The scorecards were released at SNAPTEST website and candidates had to download it by logging into their SNAP accounts. Candidates who qualifed the exam, were eligible to participate in the admission process for MBA/PGDM programmes of SIU, which was held in February and March 2026. SNAP Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI) was conducted by the 16 SIU institutes individually and the final results will be announced by May 2026. How to Calculate SNAP Score?

SNAP exam has three attempts for candidates therefore there is no score normalization. There is only scaling down of score. Check below SNAP marking scheme:

Total marks is 60
Candidate gets 1 mark for every correct attempt
0.25 marks are deducted for wrong answers

Depending on the number of correct and incorrect attempts, total marks will be calculated. Resulting total will be scaled down to 50 for final score from which percentile will be calculated. Formula of SNAP percentile calculation is simple - calculated w.r.t total number of qualifying candidates.

What After SNAP Results 2025?

After the declaration of SNAP result 2025, successful candidates were shortlisted for Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interaction (PI) rounds of SIU institutes. Selection was based on SNAP score and academic record. Candidates were selected on the basis of exam cut offs. The GE-PI round was held in February-March 2026.

Final merit list will be released by the SIU constituent institutes individually in May. Selected candidates will receive offer of admission via email and they will have to accept offer of admission within the given time limit. Q: I did not score well in SNAP 2025, can I appear for SNAP 2026 to improve score?

Yes, you can appear for SNAP 2026. There is no cap on number of attempts in SNAP. One can appear for the exam, any number of times until they get their desired score. However, it is very important to prepare well for SNAP. Only then one can improve score in the subsequent attempt. One should note down their shortcomings in the first attempt and work on them so that they can make up in the second attempt.

Q: What is the MBA selection criteria through SNAP?

Candidates are selected on the basis of SNAP cut offs for the MBA admission round which consists of Group Exercise (GE), Personal Interview (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT). This round is held in February and March after the announcement of SNAP result.

Candidates who clear the GE-PI-WAT round are selected for MBA admission. The parameters for selection also include class 10, 12 and graduation scores, academic profile and work experience. All SIU institutes conduct Group Exercise, Writing Ability Test but individually.

No, there is no provision of rechecking or revaluation in SNAP. Candidates get three attempts in SNAP to improve their score in a single academic year. Candidates can attempt the exam three times. However, whether to appear for the exam again or not is the decision to be taken at the time of SNAP form filling only as the option to appear for multiple sessions is mentioned in the application form only. You cannot register for re-test after the SNAP registration window closes.

Best score of all the attempts will be considered for admission. The scores mentioned on the SNAP scorecard are final. If any candidate wishes to improve the score, then they will have to attempt the exam next year again.

Q: What is a good score in the SNAP exam?

SNAP total marks is 60 so 40 to 45 marks can be considered a good score. It will convert into about 97-98 percentile. So, it the exam, candidates must aim to attempt 40 to 45 questions correctly.

Q: Is there any SNAP counselling fee?

There is no SNAP counselling fee to be paid. The fee is already charged in SNAP application fee per college selection.
