What is the AMAT exam?
Alliance-AMAT (Alliance Management Aptitude Test) is conducted by Alliance University and is a gateway for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program offered at Alliance School of Business. The University is recognised jointly by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Registration for Alliance AMAT 2025 will close soon for the January session. Candidates who wish to appear for the Alliance AMAT 2025 exam can apply online on the official website of the Alliance School of Business.

There are five sections in the Alliance AMAT exam. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes or one hour. And there is total of 65 multiple-choice question. Each question carries one mark each and 0.25 marks are deducted for each incorrect answer marked by the candidate. The exam is conducted in the paper-based test mode or offline.

Alliance University Application Process 2026
The mode of application is online for all courses. Candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for admission. The application fee for MBA is INR 1,000.
Selection Rounds
Candidates need to qualify MAT, CAT, ALLIANCE-MAT, XAT, NMAT, CMAT, KMAT score, Oral Extempore Speech followed by PI for MBA course.
Merit List & Counselling
As per the performance of the candidates in the selection rounds, a merit list is released by the school. Candidates with their names in the merit list are required to appear for the counselling round. They need to pay the fee to confirm their admission.
AMAT Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates willing to appear for the Alliance-AMAT exam 2025 must ensure that they check the eligibility criteria of the exam. Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials. Alliance-AMAT 2025 eligibility criteria are as follows:
- Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognised University
- Candidates belonging to the General category should have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate in graduation
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST should have obtained 45% aggregate in graduation
- A valid score in GMAT/CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT/NMAT by GMAC/AMAT is acceptable
Note: AMAT is compulsory for all those candidates who have not taken any of the above-mentioned national-level MBA entrance exams.
AMAT Admission Process 2025
Step 1: Fill in the AMAT Application Form 2025
Candidates willing to appear for Alliance AMAT 2025 need to fill in the AMAT application form and register for the exam successfully. Candidates can choose to pay registration fees either through online or offline mode. It must be noted that the application form can also be submitted online or offline. The registration fee for Alliance-AMAT 2025 is INR 1,000. The fee for NRI and SAARC national applicants is INR 2,000, and for other foreign national applicants, the fee is US$50 payable in cash or through demand draft.
Candidates must note that the applications must reach before the deadline. Entries received after the deadline will not be entertained by the authorities.
Step 2: Download Alliance AMAT 2025 Admit Card
Candidates appearing for Alliance AMAT 2025 can download the admit cards from the first week of February onwards. To download the same, candidates need to login to the official website and enter the registered User ID. Candidates must note that the admit card is an important document that needs to be carried to the exam hall.
Step 3: Appear for Alliance AMAT 2025 Exam
The exam will be conducted in paper-based test mode. Candidates can expect questions from sections such as Quantitative, Conceptual, General Knowledge, General English and Comprehension.
Step 4: Check Alliance AMAT 2025 Result
Candidates will be able to access their scorecards online. For the same, test-takers will have to use their login credentials. Candidates must note that a printout of the result should be taken – the same will be used for further rounds.
Note: The selection of candidates is done on the basis of the scores secured in GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ ATMA/ CMAT/ NMAT by GMAC/ AMAT. Candidates who have secured a valid score in any of the above-mentioned exams are further called in for Essay Writing, Oral Extempore Presentation and Personal Interview.
Step 5: Oral Extempore Presentation and Personal Interview
Once the result of the exam is declared, a list of shortlisted candidates will be prepared. These candidates will have to appear for the Oral Extempore Presentation, and candidates who qualify for this round will be further called in for the Personal Interview round. The final selection will also be based on the candidate’s previous academic performance as well as extra-curricular activities.
Step 6: Counselling
Candidates shortlisted after the Personal Interview round need to attend the counselling where verification of certificates, seat allotment and payment of course fee shall be done.
