Haryana Teacher’s Eligibility Test 2025 ( HTET )

HTET exam pattern 2025 is prescribed by the Board of School Education, Haryana (BSEH). The HTET 2025 exam comprises three papers- Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The HTET Level 1 is for Primary Teachers (Classes 1 to 5), Level 2 is for Trained Graduate Teachers - TGT (Class 6 to 8) and Level 3 is for Post Graduate Teachers (Class 9 and 10). The HTET exam pattern differs for all three levels. As per the HTET paper pattern and structure, the exam is held offline in pen-and-paper mode. Candidates are allotted two hours and 30 minutes to attempt the HTET question paper comprising 150 MCQs of one mark each.

For the ease of candidates, the exam pattern for HTET 2025 is shared below in detail for Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The main objective of the HTET exam is to determine the eligibility of candidates as teachers in different government and private schools in Haryana. For this purpose, the BSEH conducts the Haryana TET exam. Candidates who qualify the exam are awarded the HTET certificate as a testimony of their credibility.

HTET Exam Pattern 2025: Level 1

The Haryana TET exam is conducted in written mode. The exam shift is organised separately for all three levels - Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3. The total marks allotted for each level or paper is two and a half hours or 150 minutes. Have a look at the paper pattern for all three levels below:

Q:   Is HTET Certificate valid for a lifetime?
A: 

The HTET certificate is now valid forever. Ramesh Pokhariyal, Indian Education Minister has announced that the validity of the TET certificate is extended for a lifetime. Earlier the validity of the certificates was 5 years. Candidates qualifying for the HTET exam will be the first batch of candidates with a lifetime HTET certificate. They can apply for teacher recruitment in Haryana schools at any point in time till they fulfil the eligibility criteria fixed by the respective recruiting agency.
