HTET syllabus has been release by BSEH in the official notification of HTET. HTET syllabus for Level 1, 2 and 3 is different. For deferent levels of the examination, there is basic difference in HTET syllabus. The main purpose of the HTET syllabus is to assess the mental ability and knowledge of the candidates.

HTET Syllabus 2021

HTET syllabus for Level I

HTET syllabus for level I will of the prescribed syllabus for classes I-V, however, the difficulty levels may go up to secondary level.

Topics

Child Development and Pedagogy

  • Educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years
  • Understanding the characteristics and needs of diverse learners,
  • Interaction with learners and the attributes and qualities of a good facilitator of learning

Languages (Hindi & English)

  • These sections will focus on the proficiency related to the medium of instruction.

Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness

  • This section will focus on the elements of Mental and Reasoning Ability and General Knowledge regarding Haryana State.

 Mathematics and Environmental Studies

  • Various concepts, problem-solving abilities and pedagogical understanding of the subjects
  • Topics taught in class I-V by the Education Department, Govt. of Haryana

HTET syllabus for level II will of the prescribed syllabus for classes VI-X, however, the difficulty levels may go up to senior secondary level.

Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness

Q: Does HTET syllabus change every year?

A: No, HTET syllabus remains almost the same every year. This year as well, no major change is expected. 

Q: Who prescribes HTET syllabus?

A: Board of Secondary Education – Haryana (BSEH) prescribes the HTET syllabus every year. 

Q: What is the difference between HTET paper-I and paper-II syllabus?

A: HTET syllabus for paper I and paper II are different. Questions asked in paper-I are based on topics prescribed in the syllabus for classes I-V. On the other hand, questions asked in paper-II are based on topics prescribed in the syllabus for classes VI-VIII.

Q: What is the difficulty level of HTET?

A: Questions will be easy to moderate. Mostly the questions are based on class 10th and 12th standard. 

Q: What is the marking scheme in HTET?

A: In HTET, one mark is awarded for every correct answer. There is no negative marking for an incorrect answer or a question left unanswered. The same rule is applicable for both the papers.

A: These sections will focus on the proficiency related to the medium of instruction for the targeted age group. 

Q: What is the duration of HTET exam?

A: The HTET exam is of 150 minutes (2.5 hours) duration.

A: Objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs) are asked in HTET exam.
