IBPS RRB Notification 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the IBPS RRB official notification PDF for PO,  Clerk & SO posts. A total of 13217 vacancies were announced for IBPS RRB exam. IBPS RRB application form was available from September 1 to 21, 2025. IBPS RRB exam dates 2025 were announced. The prelims exam of IBPS RRB PO was conducted on November 22 and 23, 2025. IBPS RRB Clerk prelims exam will be conducted on December 5, 7, 13 and 14, 2025. IBPS RRB PO mains exam will be conducted on December 28, 2025. IBPS RRB Clerk mains exam will be conducted on February 1, 2025. The single online exam will be conducted on December 28, 2025.

IBPS RRB is a national-level banking exam for recruitment of Group A-Officers (Scale-I, II & III) and Group B-Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS RRB exam for recruitment to the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. IBPS organises the RRB CWE Exam every year for the recruitment to the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. The exam is conducted online. IBPS is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination is conducted in two phases i.e.  preliminary and mains. For the post of Officers Scale 1, the exam is conducted in three phases-prelims , mains and interview. For the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3, the exam is conducted in two phases single online exam and interview. In recent years, the level of competition for IBPS RRB exams has spurt exponentially. Q:   What is IBPS RRB eligibility for Scale 2 and 3 officers?
A: 

For Officers Scale 2 candidates should be above 21 years and below 40 years. For Officer Scale-II- they should be above 21 years old and below 32 years old. For Officer Scale I- above 18 years old and below 30 years old. The educational qualification prescribed for exam is graduation.

Q:   What is the application fee for the IBPS RRB exam?
A: 

The application fee for IBPS RRB exam is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Applicants need to pay the application fee online only.

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern

IBPS RRB exam is conducted online. IBPS RRB exam pattern is different for prelims and mains exam. Each paper will have objective type multiple-choice questions. The language of question paper is set in both English and Hindi. There is also negative marking for wrong answers. For each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted. The standard of IBPS RRB syllabus is of graduation level.

IBPS RRB exam pattern highlights the overall structure of the exam such as marking scheme, total marks, number of sections, duration of exam, etc.. Before beginning with the preparation, candidates must go through IBPS RRB exam pattern thoroughly. As per IBPS RRB exam pattern, the prelims exam is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 1 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose). The total marks allotted to the test are 80. The mains exam of IBPS RRB is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 1 and Office Assistant (Multipurpose) and carries 200 marks. The single online exam is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 2 & 3 . The Interview carries 100 marks and is conducted for the posts of Officers Scale 1, Officers Scale 2 & 3. There is no  interview for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose). 

Q:   What is IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern?
A: 

IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern is divided into prelims and Mains exams. The prelims exam carries 80 marks. The Mains exam carries 200 marks. There are negative markings in both prelims and Mains exams. For the wrong answer, 1/4 of the marks assigned to that question are deducted as penalty. The structure of IBPS RRB Clerk exam pattern is given below.

Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License are not accepted as valid ID proof. Along with the photo-identity proof, candidates need to bring two passport-size photographs.

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years-Below 40 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1983 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- II (Manager): Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1991 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1993 and later than 31.05.2005 (both dates inclusive)
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1995 and later than 01.06.2005 (both dates inclusive)

The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
