Overview

IBPS RRB Recruitment 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) will release IBPS RRB recruitment in September. The short notification will be released in August. IBPS RRB recruitment notification will be released to fill up vacancies for the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 & Office Assistant Multipurpose. IBPS RRB application form will be made available in September 2026.

The selection process of IBPS RRB Clerk is done through prelims and mains exams. Candidates for the post of IBPS RRB PO are selected based on their performance in the prelims exam, mains exam and interview. Read below for more details on IBPS RRB recruitment 2026.

IBPS RRB Exam Pattern 2026

IBPS RRB exam pattern is different for different posts. IBPS RRB exam pattern for Officers Scale 1 comprises prelims exam, mains exam, and interview. IBPS RRB exam pattern for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) comprises prelims and mains exams. IBPS RRB exam pattern for Officers Scale 2 and 3 comprises a single oniine exam and interview. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 80. The mains exam carries 100 marks. The interview carries 100 marks. The structure of IBPS RRB exam pattern is given below.

IBPS RRB eligibility criteria is prescribed by the examination authority separately for different posts. The basic educational qualification for IBPS RRB exam is graduation. However, the educational qualification vary post-wise. The post-wise age limit for IBPS RRB exam is given below:

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years-Below 40 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1983 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- II (Manager): Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1991 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1993 and later than 31.05.2005 (both dates inclusive)
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1995 and later than 01.06.2005 (both dates inclusive)

The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

The application fee for IBPS RRB exam is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Applicants need to pay the application fee online only.

IBPS RRB Scale 2 salary depends on the area of posting. The basic pay scale ranges between INR 33,000 to 39,000. Besides, candidates are also offered various allowances and perks.
