IBPS RRB Recruitment 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the IBPS RRB recruitment notification on September 1, 2025. The short notification was released on August 31, 2025. The detailed IBPS RRB recruitment notification was released to fill up a total of 13217 vacancies. IBPS RRB application form is made available from September 1 to 21, 2025. 

IBPS RRB recruitment is done for Group A Officers Scale I (Assistant Manager), Scale II (Manager), Scale III (Senior Manager), Group B Office Assistant (Multipurpose). Candidates for the post of IBPS RRB Clerk post are selected based on the prelims and mains exams. IBPS RRB application form 2025 was released on September 1, 2025. The application fee is INR  850 for General/OBC/EWS candidates, while it is INR 175 for SC/ST/PwD categories. The steps to fill IBPS RRB application form are given below:

  • Register using your mobile number and email id
  • Fill in all the basic details such as name, address, contact number, etc. to register
  • Upload the scanned documents such as photograph, signature, handwritten declaration, and left thumb impression.

IBPS RRB exam pattern is different for different posts. IBPS RRB exam pattern for Officers Scale 1 comprises prelims exam, mains exam, and interview. IBPS RRB eligibility criteria is prescribed by the examination authority separately for different posts. The basic educational qualification for IBPS RRB exam is graduation. However, the educational qualification vary post-wise. The post-wise age limit for IBPS RRB exam is given below:

For Officer Scale- III (Senior Manager): Above 21 years-Below 40 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1983 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- II (Manager): Above 21 years - Below 32 years i.e. candidatesshould not have been born earlier than 03.06.1991 and later than 31.05.2002 (both dates inclusive)
For Officer Scale- I (Assistant Manager): Above 18 years - Below 30 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 03.06.1993 and later than 31.05.2005 (both dates inclusive)
For Office Assistant (Multipurpose): Between 18 years and 28 years i.e. candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.06.1995 and later than 01.06.2005 (both dates inclusive)

The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Q:   Why is IBPS RRB exam conducted?
A: 

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts IBPS RRB exam for recruitment to the Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) or Gramin Banks. IBPS organises the RRB CWE Exam every year for the recruitment to the posts of Officers Scale 1, 2, 3 and Office Assistant. The exam is conducted online. IBPS is fully responsible for conducting RRB Common Written Exam (CWE). For the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose) the examination is conducted in two phases i.e.  preliminary and mains. For the post of Officers Scale 1, the exam is conducted in three phases-prelims , mains and interview. For the post of Officers Scale 2 and 3, the exam is conducted in two phases single online exam and interview. In recent years, the level of competition for IBPS RRB exams has spurt exponentially. Graduates from any field of study can attempt this exam. 

Q:   I am not able to fill IBPS RRB application form at one go. How to save the details?
A: 

In case the candidate is unable to fill in the application form in one go, he/ she can save the data already entered. When
the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the
screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional registration number and password. An Email & SMS indicating
the Provisional Registration number and Password will also be sent. They can reopen the saved data using Provisional
registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed. Once the application is filled in completely,
candidate should submit the data.

Q:   What is the application fee for the IBPS RRB exam?
A: 

The application fee for IBPS RRB exam is INR 850 for General and OBC candidates and INR 175 for SC/ST/PWD categories. Applicants need to pay the application fee online only. The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets. After final submission, an additional page of the online application form is displayed wherein candidates may follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details. If the online transaction is not successfully completed then candidates are advised to login again with their provisional registration number and password and pay the application fees/intimation charges online. On successful completion of the transaction, an e-receipt is generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt and online application form
containing fee details.

Yes, separate IBPS RRB admit cards are issued for prelims and Mains exams. The prelims admit card is released for all the registered candidates. The Mains admit card is released for candidates who qualifies the prelims exam.
