Recently, IIM Rohtak has announced major changes in the IPM admission process and seat intake. The seat intake for the IPM programme has increase to 198 seats which earlier was 165.

Additionally, the weightage of IPMAT Rohtak scores has changed in the final selection process. More weightage is being given to the IPM Aptitude Test. 55 % of weightage is being given to IPMAT Rohtak, 10% each is given to academic performance in Class 12 and Class 10. And PI weightage will be 15%. 

Q:   What is the reporting time for IPMAT Rohtak exam?

IPMAT Rohtak exam is conducted in the morning session. IPMAT exam 2026 will be conducted from 9 AM to 11 AM. The reporting time to the IPMAT exam centre will be mentioned on IPM admit card.

No, the IPM Rohtak entrance exam does not have any subjective questions. There are 120 multiple-choice questions. These questions are divided across the three sections of the IPM AT question paper. Q:   How are the final IPMAT Rohtak results calculated?

IPMAT score is determined on the basis of correct answers marked by aspirants in the IPMAT Rohtak exam. For each correct answer, candidates are awarded four marks. For an incorrect answer, one mark is deducted from the candidates' total score. This means that for five correct answers, 20 marks will be added to the total score. Candidates who match the IPMAT cutoff criteria are further called for the Personal Interview round. 

For final results, 55% weightage is given to the scores obtained by the candidates in the IPMAT Rohtak exam and 15% weightage is given to the candidate's performance in the Personal Interview (PI), 10% to academic performance in Class 10 and 20% to academic performance in Class 12. 

Q:   What is the expected IPMAT Rohtak cutoff?

The IPMAT cutoff will be announced by IIM Rohtak. Based on the past years' trends, the IPMAT Rohtak is expected to be around 320 for the General category candidates. The EWS category IPMAT Rohtak cutoff 2025 is expected to be about 280.

Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability. Each section is to be solved within 40 minutes. Since IPM Aptitude Test is a centre-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section automatically as soon as the time limit gets over. Thus candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in IPM AT exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use 40 minutes per section as per their strength and weakness. Candidates must also keep in mind the negative marking in the IPM AT exam. One mark will be deducted from the overall score for each incorrect answer. For every correct answer, four marks will be awarded. 

Q:   Would I get admission on the basis of IPMAT Rohtak result directly?
A: 

No, clearing the IPMAT exam and matching the cutoff criteria is only the first phase of the IPMAT Rohtak admission process. Candidates will have to go through for further selection procedure conducted by IIM Rohtak for the second phase.Candidates need to meet the cutoff criteria to take admissions. The admission process includes the Personal Interview.

Other factors such as academic record, work experience, etc. are also considered for admission to various institutes which accept IPMAT Rohtak scores. IPMAT Rohtak score is only the first parameter on which the candidates are shortlisted for admission. The institutes first shortlist the candidates for PI based on the IPMAT scores, marks obtained in Class 10 and Class 12. For the final selection, the institutes take IPMAT scores, performance in PI, Class 10 and Class 12 marks, work experience, academic diversity and gender diversity into consideration. 

Q:   Is the IPM Aptitude Test given online or offline?
A: 

The IPM AT exam is conducted by the Indian Institute of Management, Rohtak. The exam is conducted once every year for admission to the five year integrated programme in management. The exam is conducted in the computer-based test mode or online mode every year. The complete IPM AT admission process is online. Students who have filled the IPM AT application form online on the official website will be required to appear for the online exam on the designated exam centre. The students need to reach the exam centre in order to take the online test. For the multiple-choice questions, students will be required to select the radio button on the computer screen against the correct answer. 

Q:   Is IPM Rohtak admit card without a photograph valid?
A: 

No, candidates must paste a recent passport size photograph on the IPMAT Rohtak admit card to make it valid. The candidate's photograph affixed to the IPMAT hall ticket must match the photograph uploaded in the IPMAT Rohtak 2025 application form. Candidates must paste a coloured photograph on the IPMAT admit card 2025. IPMAT admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam centre as it will act as the hall ticket for entry to the examination hall.

No section in the IPMAT Rohtak question paper has a maximum or the least weightage. IPMAT Rohtak is expected to maintain a moderate overall difficulty level. IPMAT Rohtak exam focuses on speed, accuracy, and basic conceptual understanding. Candidates find IPMAT Rohtak exam easier than IPMAT Indore.

IPMAT is conducted only once an year through computer based mode in different cities throughout India. One can give this exam only once a year and will have to wait for another year to give it again.

IIM Rohtak accepts IPMAT Rohtak scores for IPM admissions. TAPMI University Manipal also accepts IPMAT Rohtak scores but also accept IPMAT Indore. 

Most IIMs accept IPMAT Indore scores.

Yes, many students have cleared IPMAT Rohtak without any formal coaching. What matters is how well one understands concepts, apply them under timed conditions, and adapt based on mock test analysis.

Students who have a minimum of 60 per cent in Class 12 can apply for IPMAT Rohtak exam. Students belonging to reserved categories can apply if they have 55% aggregate.
