The basic LIC AAO eligibility criterion for a Specialist is that candidates should have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or institution. Candidates should be at minimum 21 years of age to apply for the LIC AAO Specialist post. The upper age limit is 30 years for AAO Specialist CS, Actuarial, Insurance Specialists and 32 years for CA and Legal posts. Have a look at the post-wise AAO Specialist eligibility below:
- AAO CA: Bachelor's Degree + Passed Final Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completed Articles
- AAO CS: Bachelor's Degree + Qualified Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)
- AAO Actuarial: Bachelor's Degree + Passed at least 6 papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK as on August 1, 2025
- AAO Insurance Specialists: Bachelor's Degree + Professional qualification in Life Insurance (Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India (Life) + Minimum experience of 5 years and above of working in Life Insurance Companies (regulated by IRDAI)
- AAO Legal: Bachelor's degree in Law with a minimum of 50% marks + Enrolled with the Bar Council as an Advocate + minimum two years' experience after being enrolled as an Advocate or as a Law Officer
The LIC AAO Generalist eligibility is:
- Graduation
- Age limit: 21 to 30 years
However, the upper age limit is relaxed for SC, ST, OBC and PwD.

How to Apply Online for LIC AAO 2025 Exam?
Candidates can fill out the LIC AAO application form by following the steps shared below:
- Visit the official website of the LIC – licindia.in
- Go to the Careers tab
- Open the Recruitment of AAO link.
- Navigate to the 'Apply Online' link at the bottom of the page.
- Click on the new registration
- Register for the exam to generate the registration number.
- An Email & SMS indicating the registration number and password will be sent for verification.
- Validate the details.
- Upload the the scanned photograph and signature
- Fill in the other required details and click on the preview to get a preview of the LIC AAO application
- Submit the required LIC AAO application fees (as per category)
- Click on the Final Submit button to submit the application
