Meghalaya TET (MTET) Syllabus 2023 is prescribed by the Directorate of Educational Research & Training (DERT), Meghalaya. Knowing the MTET syllabus is the first and foremost step towards exam preparation. Candidates should be familiar with the subjects or sections and the number of questions that will be asked in the exam. Candidates get to know the important topics from which questions are expected in the exam while going through the latest MTET syllabus.

The Meghalaya Teacher Eligibility Test (MTET) exam is conducted in different sessions for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The MTET Paper 1 is for lower-primary (LP) teachers who want to teach Classes 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for upper-primary (UP) teachers who want to teach Classes 6 to 8. The questions from this section will focus on testing candidates’ language skills. The questions will be on reading comprehension, grammar and composition.

Language II (English)

The questions will focus on the different language skills and textbook analysis:

  • Oral language development
  • Reading for meaning
  • Writing to learn
  • Knowledge about language – grammar, sentence construction & word meaning
  • Textbook analysis - writing reports

Mathematics
