Staff Selection Commission Junior Engineer Exam 2025 ( SSC JE )
SSC JE 2025 Vacancies: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) increased the number of vacancies for the Junior engineer posts as notified on August 5, 2025. Now, the number of vacancies are 1731. Earlier, it was 1,340. The SSC JE notification was released on June 30, 2025. The department-wise vacancy breakdown is provided below. The SSC JE exam is expected to be conducted online in December 2025.
The authority conducts the SSC JE exam to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Junior Engineers in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical for various Ministries/ Departments/Organisations in the Government of India.

As per the annual calendar released on the official website, the SSC JE 2025 Tier 1 exam will be conducted from October 27 to 31, 2025. But now, the commission postponed the examination dates for SSC JE Tier 1 examination. It is expected to be conducted in December 2025. The commission will provide the additional details regarding the Tier 1 exam, including the admit card, schedule, etc.
