Candidates appearing for the exam are advised to check the latest SSC JE syllabus to ensure that they are moving in the right direction of preparation. The syllabus for the SSC JE 2023 exam comprises three papers that are General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical).

The SSC will conduct the JE prelims exam on October 9, 10, and 11, 2023, whereas, the mains (Tier 2) exam will be conducted on December 4, 2023. SSC JE Application Date 2023
The SSC released the application form for the Junior Engineers' exam on July 26, 2023, and the candidates were allowed to fill out the application till August 16, 2023. On the other hand, the application correction window was activated on August 17 and closed on August 18, 2023. The steps to fill out the SSC JE application has been given below:
- Use your Registration Number and Password from Part I to log in to Part II of your application procedure.
- Next, click on the Apply for Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) link.
- List 3 exam centers of the same region as per your preference.
- Select the position for which you wish to apply and then submit your highest qualification and stream of education.
- Check the 'I Agree' box and then enter the captcha code that appears on your screen. You will get a preview of your form, and after you are pleased, click the submit button to proceed to fee payment.
- Pay the application fee and print a copy of the application form for future reference

The Commission did not extended the application date for the year 2023 after August 16, 2023. The candidate who were not able to fill out the application form for the year 2023 have to wait for the next cycle of the exam in 2024.
