SSC JE Exam Date 2023 (Out): Tier 1 & 2 Exam Schedule & Timing

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released the notification for the SSC JE exam on July 26, 2023. The notification was released to recruit Junior Engineers in different Departments under Government. The recruitment notification was released for the recruitment of Civil engineers, Mechanical Engineers and Quantity Surveying & Contracts. The notification ws released in the PDF format that comprised the details like application date, application correction date, application fee, eligibility, number of vacancies & more. The candidates were allowed to access the notification from the offcial website. The steps to download the PDF has been given below:

• Go to the official website
• Click on the SSC JE notification link 
• The SSC JE 2023 notification PDF will appear on the screen
• Download the PDF and save it for later use

The last date to apply for the SSC JE exam was August 16, 2023. The Staff Selection Commission released the JE application 2023 on July 26, 2023. The Commission provided 20 days to the candidates for filling out the SSC JE applications. After the closing of the application window, the application correction window was activated on 17 and continued till August 18, 2023.

The Commission did not extended the application date for the year 2023 after August 16, 2023. The candidate who were not able to fill out the application form for the year 2023 have to wait for the next cycle of the exam in 2024.

SSC JE admit card is released around five days before the exam. The SSC JE admit cards are released by the regional websites and the candidates are required to download their admit card from their respective region. To download the JE admit card, candidates need to enter registration number/roll number and date of birth. The admit cards are mandatory to be carried to the JE exam centres. The candidates can download the admit card by following the steps given below:

• Click on the SSC JE Admit Card tab 
• Click on the respective regional website link
• Enter the required login credentials such as:
  • Roll number/registered ID OR name/father's name
  • Date of birth
• Verify the given equation
• Click on the Submit button
• View, download and print the admit card

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases the SSC JE answer jey in two phases: i) Tentative Answer Key and ii) Final Answer Key. The tentative answer key is released soon after the exam concludes. For instance the SSC JE paper 1 was concluded on November 16, 2022, and the answer key for the same was released within a week i.e. November 22, 2023. • Select the exam from the drop-down menu.
• Click on the Click here link.
• Enter the below-mentioned credentials:
  • User ID/exam roll number
  • Password
• Click on Login.
• Check and download the SSC JE Answer key 

SSC JE exam is conducted in two modes- i) Computer Based Test and ii) Conventional Mode. The details of these modes have been given below for the candidates:

Computer Based Test (CBT) Mode:

The SSC JE Paper 1 (Objective Type) exam is conducted in CBT mode. Candidates have to answer multiple choice questions using a mouse or a touch screen. 

Conventional Paper-Pen Mode: 

SSC JE Paper 2 (Convntional Type) exam is conducted in offline pen paper mode. Candidates have to write down answers on the question sheet provided. The mode of Paper 2 also depends upon the specific job profile.

To conclude, SSC JE Paper 1 is conducted in online mode (CBT) whereas Paper 2 can be either in CBT or conventional paper-pen mode depending on the specific post/subject.
