SSC OTR Registration 2026: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released SSC GD application form 2026. Before filling the application form, candidates need to create the SSC OTR One Time Registration number. They will require this OTR while downloading admit card, result, answer key, application correction window, etc. The commission has made Aadhaar enabled SSC registrations mandatory for all the exams. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released SSC GD application form on December 1. The last date to apply for SSC GD 2026 exam is December 31. To fill SSC GD application form 2026, candidates need to first create the SSC One Time Registration. This requires candidates to register and create their profiles at ssc.gov.in. This is a one-time facility and with the same, candidates can apply for multiple SSC recruitment exams in a year.
SSC conducts several recruitment SSC exams every year, including Combined Graduate Level (CGL), Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), SSC GD Constable, Stenographer, Junior Engineer (JE) and others. The list of SSC GD exam centres is released along with the official notification at ssc.nic.in. The SSC GD exam is conducted in a total of nine regions- ER, WR, NR, SR, CR, NER, NWR, MPR and KKR. The SSC GD exam centres cities list is released region-wise. Candidates need to make selection of exam centres while filling out the online SSC GD Constable application form.
SSC JHT application form 2025 was released on June 5. The last date to fill application form was June 26. Only online applications were accepted for the exam. Candidates were not required to the send the hard copy of the application form to the exam body.
The CGL online applications will start in March at ssc.gov.in. The candidates can apply for the exam in the manner given below:
- Visit at ssc.gov.in.
- Login with the SSC OTR.
- Fill the CGL 2026 application form on ssc.gov.in.
- Pay the fee (as notified in the notification).
- Submit the SSC CGL online application form.

SSC OTR Registration: Aadhaar Biometrics Policy Introduced
In 2025, the Staff Selection Commission has announced a major change in the SSC registrations. From June 2025 onwards, all the SSC OTR registrations were Aadhaar-enabled. It implies that the candidates who want to apply for the SSC exams will have to register through their Aadhaar biometric details. However, candidates can choose not to provide Aadhaar details and share any other Photo ID proof.
Going by this, those who are already registered with the SSC need to undertake the SSC OTR form correction to update their Aadhaar details. Moreover, candidates who were not able to update their Aadhaar Biometric details on the SSC OTR form can update their details by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Centre

What is SSC OTR Registration?
The SSC OTR full form is One-Time Registration. It is an online registration window which all SSC job aspirants need to undertake. Candidates need to generate their SSC registration number or OTR number using this window. Once the registration number gets generated, candidates can proceed to carry out the application process for the exam they wish to appear for.
How to Fill the SSC Registration Form?
Use the given SSC OTR registration process to generate the SSC registration number-
- Visit ssc.gov.in.
- Click on the ‘Register Now’ link provided under the ‘Login’ window.
- Enter the personal details, including:
- Aadhaar number
- Name
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
- Date of birth
- Matriculation (10th Class) Examination Details
- Gender
- Level of Educational Qualification (highest)
- Mobile Number
- Email ID
- State/ UT of your Permanent Address
- Verify your Aadhaar number, mobile number and Email ID.
- The SSC registration number and password will be generated and sent to your mobile number.
- Log in using the SSC OTR number and change the password.
- Now, provide information regarding the category, Nationality, visible Identification Mark, benchmark disabilities, if any along with the Permanent and Present Address.
- Accept the declaration and click on the final submit button.
- Complete the registration by entering the OTP sent to your mobile number or email ID.
Important Note: After entering the personal details on the OTR form, if the SSC registration process is not completed within 14 days, the complete date will be deleted.

No, the SSC CHSL application status 2025 has not been released. The SSC CHSL status for the Tier 1 exam will be released on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) - ssc.gov.in for all the regions - KKR, ER, NR, SR, CR, WR, NER, NWR and MPR. The SSC CHSL application status will inform candidates about the acceptance or rejection of their applications along with the allotted exam city.

SSC OTR: Aadhaar-Based Registration
The Staff Selection Commission carries out Aadhaar-based recruitment exams such as SSC CGL, SSC CHSL, SSC MTS 2025, SSC GD Constable and others. Candidates will be required to authenticate their identity and verify the details as per their Aadhaar cards at multiple stages as shared below-

No, Aadhaar card is not compulsory to register or apply for the SSC exams. Aadhaar-based registration is a voluntary choice.
