SSC OTR Registration 2025: The SSC registrations 2025 are ongoing for various exams including SSC CHSL 2025, SSC MTS 2025, SSC JE 2025 and others. The Staff Selection Commission is accepting Aadhaar-Biometrics enabled SSC registrations for 2025, and candidates need to use their Aadhaar details to register for exams. The SSC OTR form correction window was earlier activated for already registered candidates to update their Aadhaar Biometrics at ssc.gov.in.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts several recruitment exams every year, including Combined Graduate Level (CGL), Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL), Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), SSC GD Constable, Stenographer, Junior Engineer (JE) and othersApplications for all SSC exams 2025 are invited online. However, before filling out the application form, candidates need to undertake One Time Registration (OTR). The SSC OTR module requires candidates to register and create their profiles on the official website- ssc.gov.in. Using the single profile with SSC OTR Registration, candidates can apply for multiple SSC recruitment exams in a year by undertaking the application process of the particular exam. However, one needs to fulfil the prescribed SSC exam eligibility criteria. 

As of now, the Commission is accepting online applications for several exams, including SSC CHSL 2025, SSC MTS 2025, SSC JE 2025, SSC JHT 2025 and others. No, if already registered, candidates could skip the registration steps and apply directly for the SSC CGL exam by logging into their accounts. The SSC registration number is required to log in at the official website. Candidates can apply online for various SSC exams with one registration number. The candidates can register anytime for the exam with or without the active notification.

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 notification on its official website. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 application link with the official notification. The candidates will be required to fill out the SSC CGL application online on the official website - ssc.nic.in. 

The last date to apply for the SSC CGL 2024 exam is July 24, 2024.

Q:   When will SSC CGL 2024 Application Start?

The Staff Selection Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 online application form on June 24, 2024. The Commission release the SSC CGL apply online link on its new official website - ssc.gov.in. The SSC CGL 2024 notification mentioned all the details of online application. The last date to apply online for the SSC CGL 2024 exam will be July 24. Earlier the SSC CGL 2024 notification was scheduled for June 11, 2024 but it was not released. The Commission will mention the important details such as vacancies, dates, syllabus, exam patttern and the rules and regulations in the official notification.

SSC OTR Registration 2025: Aadhaar Biometrics Policy Introduced

This year, the Staff Selection Commission has announced a major change in the SSC registrations 2025. From June 2025 onwards, all the SSC OTR registrations will be Aadhaar-enabled. It implies that the candidates who want to apply for the SSC exams in 2025 will have to register through their Aadhaar biometric details. However, candidates can choose not to provide Aadhaar details and share any other Photo ID proof.

Going by this, those who are already registered with the SSC needed to undertake the SSC OTR form correction to update their Aadhaar details. Therefore, the Commission activated the SSC OTR registration form correction window on June 19, 2025. The last date to undertake the SSC OTR form correction was June 30, 2025. Moreover, candidates who have not been able to update their Aadhaar Biometric details on SSC OTR form can update their details now by visiting the nearest Aadhaar Centre

What is SSC OTR Registration?

The SSC OTR full form is One-Time Registration. It is an online registration window which all SSC job aspirants need to undertake. Candidates need to generate their SSC registration number or OTR number using this window. Once the registration number gets generated, candidates can proceed to carry out the application process for the exam they wish to appear for.

How to Fill the SSC Registration Form 2025?

Q:   Are the SSC CGL 2024 Application Dates Revised?
A:

Yes, the Staff Selection Commission extended the SSC CGL 2024 application dates on July 25. The last date to apply online for the SSC CGL 2024 exam is now July 27, 2024. The last date to submit the SSC CGL 2024 application fee is July 28, 2024. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 notification online on June 24, 2024. The Commission notified 17,727 vacancies for the SSC CGL 2024 exam. The SSC CGL 2024 Tier 1 exam will be conducted online in September/October 2024.

The SSC CGL application correction facility will be available on August 10 and 11. The Staff Selection Commission released the revised SSC CGL 2024 dates in its revised SSC Exam Calendar 2024-25. The Commission released the SSC CGL 2024 notification, application and exam dates in the official exam calendar.

Q:   When will the SSC CGL 2024 application Status be released?
A:

The SSC CGL application status is typically released around 20 days before the start date of the exam. Candidates can expect the SSC CGL application status to be available for checking approximately 20 days before the commencement of the SSC CGL exam. It is advisable to keep an eye on the official SSC regional websites for updates on the release of the application status.

To check the SSC CGL Application Status, candidates need to provide the following details:

Q:   Is the SSC CGL application fee refundable?
A:
No, the SSC CGL application fee, once paid is non-refundable. The fee once paid cannot be refunded at any point in time. The Commission mentioned that the application fee will not be refunded even when the candidates withdraw their applications. The Commission does not refund the application fee under any condition. There is no provision provided for the refund of application fee. Such facility was provided by UPSC earlier under the application withdrawal scheme.
Q:   Can I pay the SSC CGL application fee in offline mode?
A:
Yes, candidates can pay the application fee in offline mode through the SBI challan. The last date to submit the SSC CGL application fee offline is always one day after the fee submission date online. The Commission provides the opportunity to submit the application fee online also. The candidates should note that they are required to generate an offline fee payment challan from the official website of the SSC. The fee can be paid through this challan only.
  1. Visit the official website- ssc.gov.in.
  2. Click on the ‘Register Now’ link provided under the ‘Login’ window.
  3. Enter the personal details, including:
    • Aadhaar number
    • Name
    • Father’s name
    • Mother’s name
    • Date of birth
    • Matriculation (10th Class) Examination Details
    • Gender
    • Level of Educational Qualification (highest)
    • Mobile Number
    • Email ID
    • State/ UT of your Permanent Address
  4. Verify your Aadhaar number, mobile number and Email ID.
  5. The SSC registration number and password will be generated and sent to your mobile number.
  6. Log in using the SSC OTR number and change the password.
  7. Now, provide information regarding the category, Nationality, visible Identification Mark, benchmark disabilities, if any along with the Permanent and Present Address.
  8. Accept the declaration and click on the final submit button.
  9. Complete the registration by entering the OTP sent to your mobile number or email ID.

Important Note: After entering the personal details on the OTR form, if the SSC registration process is not completed within 14 days, the complete date will be deleted.

Candidates need to keep the following documents handy to carry out the SSC registration:

  • Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
  • Email ID (to be verified through OTP)
  • Aadhaar Number or PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID, Driving License, Birth Certificate, School Certificates, Utility Bills, Bank Passbook, Rent Agreement (any one of these).
  • Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination
  • Information regarding the highest qualification
  • Disability Certificate Number, if any.
  • Caste certificate, if any

SSC OTR 2025: Aadhaar-Based Registration

The Staff Selection Commission will now carry out Aadhaar-based recruitment exams such as SSC CGL 2025, SSC CHSL 2025, SSC MTS 2025, SSC GD Constable 2026 and others. Candidates will be required to authenticate their identity and verify the details as per their Aadhaar cards at multiple stages of the exam, including:

  • Aadhaar OTP-based authentication at the time of OTR
  • Aadhaar Face Authentication while submitting applications
  • Aadhaar fingerprint or iris-based biometric authentication at the exam centres
  • Aadhaar authentication during Physical Tests or Medical Examinations
  • Aadhaar authentication during Document Verification and final Joining
  • Aadhaar-based authentication for scribes and examination personnel

Is Aadhaar compulsory to register for SSC Exams?

No, Aadhaar card is not compulsory to register or apply for the SSC exams. Aadhaar-based registration is a voluntary choice. Candidates who do not provide Aadhaar details during the SSC registration process need to upload supporting ID proofs, such as:

  • PAN Card
  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Driving License
  • Birth Certificate
  • School Certificates
  • Utility Bills
  • Bank Passbook
  • Rent Agreement
  • A recent passport-sized photograph

These documents need to be clear, updated, and verifiable. Candidates who choose to provide any one of these details will have to report at the exam centres at least two hours before the gate closure time for manual verification of identity at the centres.

  • A live photo of the candidates is captured during the application process
