Understanding SSC JE 2025 Syllabus

The first step towards the SSC JE preparation is understanding the syllabus of the exam that you are deciding to take. The SSC JE exam pattern has been revised, but major changes have not been seen in the syllabus of the SSC JE exam 2025. The exam continues to have two papers- Paper 1 (Ojective type) and Paper 2 (Objective type). Paper 1 determines the General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and General Engineering tendencies of the candidates. On the other hand, the Paper 2 tests the General Engineering of the candidates on specific engineering branch/displine-civil, mechanical and electrical. 

The latest syllabus and the exam pattern can be checked on the official SSC JE notification that was released on the official website. Candidates are advised to prepare from the latest syllabus to prepare in the right direction.

SSC JE Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025

SSC JE preparation comes becomes easy when you thoroughly know and understand the pattern of an exam and also the syllabus.

The SSC JE exam is conducted in two stages:

  • Paper-I: An online objective-type test
  • Paper II: An Offline Descriptive Test

SSC JE paper-I is divided into three sections. The third section is further divided into three parts. Candidates have the option of attempting questions from any one part only. Total weightage of SSC JE paper-I is 200 marks.

In SSC JE paper-II, candidates have to write descriptive answers of on any one Engineering topic:
