SSC JE Paper 1 follows a negative marking pattern. One-fourth of the marks are deducted from the secured marks. It means that 0.25 marks will be deducted in the case of an incorrect answer. The total number assigned for the correct answer is 1 mark.

 Bhavana Solanki Said, "The reasoning section was quite lengthy and time-consuming whereas the other sections were moderately difficult in nature."

Monu Said " The paper was moderate in nature. On the other hand, the civil engineering paper was moderately difficult. The questions were asked about the construction of the road, numericals based on road construction, and more. The expected cut-off for the SSC JE civil will be between 130 to 140 marks out of 200 marks."

Chandrashekhar Meena Said, " The difficulty level of the exam was moderate. Civil paper was moderate to high in terms of difficulty level. The questions in the General Awareness were asked from current affairs and more."

Mohit Said," The Reasoning and Awareness section was easy to moderate in nature however the technical paper was lengthy and time-consuming. The expected cut-off will be low in comparison to the previous year's cut-off.
