SSC JE 2025 Analysis: Analysis plays a crucial role in the preparation of an examination. It helps to understand the pattern of an exam, types of questions asked, difficulty level etc. The analysis of the SSC JE Tier 1 2025 will be shared here after the conclusion of an exam. The SSC JE 2025 Tier 1 exam will be conducted tentatively in December 2025. The SSC JE 2025 Tier 2 exam will be conducted in January-February 2026. Q:   How many attempts are allowed at SSC JE exam?
A: 

There is no limit on the number of attempts for the SSC JE exam. Candidates can apply for the SSC JE till they attain the maximum age limit mentioned in the official notification for their category. The Commission also provides the age relaxation to certain categories. Candidates should check the official notification to know about all such relaxations. You can appear for the exam as many times you want if you meet the SSC JE eligibility criteria.

Q:   Are there only objective-type questions in SSC JE exam?
A: 

SSC JE Paper 1 & Paper 2 both contains objective-type questions. SSC JE Paper 1 works as a screening exam and most of the candidates are filtered out for the main exam. There is 0.25 negative marking in the SSC JE Paper 1 which makes the paper more difficult. Candidates should prepare for the SSC JE exam in a integrated manner.

Negative Marking in SSC JE 2025 Paper

SSC JE exam has a negative marking. One fourth mark will be deducted for the incorrect answer answer and for every correct answer one mark will be awarded.

SSC JE syllabus is notified in the official syllabus. The candidates must read and understand all the topics given in the SSC JE 2025 syllabus. The SSC JE exam pattern has been revised, but major changes have not been seen in the syllabus of the SSC JE exam 2025. The exam continues to have two papers- Paper 1 (Ojective type) and Paper 2 (Objective type). Paper 1 determines the General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and General Engineering tendencies of the candidates. On the other hand, the Paper 2 tests the General Engineering of the candidates on specific engineering branch/displine-civil, mechanical and electrical.

The Staff Selection Commission prescribes SSC JE syllabus. The SSC JE exam is conducted to recruit the engineering degree holders for the position of Junior Engineers. This is a specialist service exam where the graduate engineers of specific stream can apply for the post of Junior Engineer. The candidates selected in the SSC JE exam are appointed in the Central Government Departments and PSEs.

Q:   Do I have to prepare separate topics for the General Engineering section in SSC JE Paper 2?

For the General Engineering section in SSC JE Paper 2, topics prepared for Paper 1 are usually enough. The Staff Selection Commission also prescribes the same topics for the General Engineering section of both papers. However, candidates must keep in mind that in the General Engineering section of Paper 2, 100 objective-based questions will be asked in the examination from the specific discipline chosen by candidates.

Yes, it is mandatory to appear for both paper 1 and 2 of SSC JE exam. Both the papers are compulsory as the Paper 1 is conducted to shortlist the candidates for mains exam and is qualifying in nature. On the other hand, the paper 2 (mains) exam is conducted to shortlist candidates for the  Document verification.
 
The final cut off released on the basis of the marks obtained in the paper 2 exam and the document verification. The candidates securing the marks equal to or more than the cut off marks is considered qualified for the exam and gets recruited as per the preferences made by the candidates.

 Bhavana Solanki Said, "The reasoning section was quite lengthy and time-consuming whereas the other sections were moderately difficult in nature."

Monu Said " The paper was moderate in nature. On the other hand, the civil engineering paper was moderately difficult. The questions were asked about the construction of the road, numericals based on road construction, and more. The expected cut-off for the SSC JE civil will be between 130 to 140 marks out of 200 marks."

Chandrashekhar Meena Said, " The level of difficulty of the exam was moderate. Civil paper was moderate to high in terms of level of difficulty. The questions in the General Awareness were asked from current affairs and more."
