SSC JHT exam is conducted for recruitment to the post of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator and Senior Hindi Translator for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India.

SSC JHT application fees for General and OBC categories are INR 100. The application fees for SC/ST/PwD/ESM candidates are exempted from fee payment. The application fees can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating the Challan.

SSC JHT 2025 Notification: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfil the following SSC JHT eligibility criteria:
- The lower age limit is 18 years
- Should not be more than 30 years of age
- Reserved category candidates will be given relaxation in the upper age limit
- Should have completed Postgraduation or master’s degree from a recognised university
- The age limit is calculated based on the last date of application

SSC JHT Notification 2025: Exam Pattern
SSC JHT exam pattern is divided into Paper 1 and 2. Paper 1 is conducted online and comprises two sections-General English and General Hindi. The total marks for the test are 100. Candidates will be given two hours to complete the paper. For the wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. Paper-II is a conventional type of paper and is conducted offline. The paper comprises questions from Translation and Essay. The total marks allotted to the test are 200.

SSC JHT Paper 1 is a Computer Based Test having multiple-choice questions. It consists of two sections- General English and General Hindi. The questions will be of degree level. Each section has 100 questions and the total time duration is 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. SSC JHT Notification 2025: Selection Process
The selection process of SSC JHT comprises Paper 1 and 2 followed by document verification. Based on the marks scored in Paper 1, candidates will be shortlisted category-wise to appear in Paper 2. On the basis of Paper 1 and 2, candidates will be shortlisted for document verification.
