
SSC JHT 2024 exam pattern is such that it is divided into two papers-1 and 2. Paper 1 is held in computer-based mode, whereas Paper 2 is held in offline mode. SSC JHT Paper 1 Exam Pattern
Paper I of SSC JHT is divided into two sections: General English and General Hindi. The questions are designed to test the candidate’s understanding of languages, literature and correct use of words, phrases, and idioms, and the ability to write the languages correctly, precisely, and effectively. The questions will be of degree level. The total marks for the test are 100. Candidates will be given two hours to complete the paper. Paper 1 will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions only. Marks obtained by candidates in Paper I will be normalized. SSC JHT Paper 2 Exam Pattern
Paper 2 is conducted for the qualified candidates of Paper I. Paper 2 is a conventional type paper and is conducted offline. The paper comprises questions from Translation and Essay. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The exam is held for two hours. This paper will contain two passages for translation (one passage for translation from Hindi to English and other passage for translation from English to Hindi) and an Essay each in Hindi and English.

What is Normalisation of Marks?
SSC has decided to normalize SSC JHT scores of candidates to take into account any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers across different shifts since the exam is conducted in multiple sessions. The normalization is done based on the fundamental assumption that in multi-shift exam, the distribution of abilities of candidates is the same across all the shifts. Calculation of marks will be done up to 5 decimal places.
