Good faculty and academic environment, but the infrastructure can be improved.
Placements: English Honours is not a placement-oriented course in our college, so the percentage of students getting formal campus placements is very low. Most students either prepare for competitive exams or take up private jobs on their own. On average, 10-15 percent of students get some kind of job opportunity through the college's career cell or seminars.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the English honours department is decent and improving every year. Our classrooms are simple but well-maintained with proper seating and ventilation. The library is one of the best parts because it has a good collection of English literature books.
Faculty: The faculty in the English honours department is quite knowledgeable and experienced. Most teachers are very helpful and try to explain the concepts in a simple and understandable way. They are approachable and supportive, especially when it comes to cleaning doubts.
Other: I chose English honours because I have always enjoyed reading literature and wanted to study it in a deeper and more structured way. I do feel that some things can be improved, like having more seminars, workshops, and interactive sessions.

University of Kalyani review.
Placements: Companies are not coming to this college. This is only a government college, and there is nothing for placement. We have to suffer from a scarcity of placements. If you want placement, then you have to go outside for the company, and you will have to reach out by yourself to get that placement.
Infrastructure: I would say the college is good, but the infrastructure is not as good. The lab is also not well-maintained. The library is very good because it is a university library. Hostel facilities are decent, but the food quality is very bad. This is a government-funded university, so you get what is provided in government schools.
Faculty: Teachers are good, but we can say they are not as good as well. Examinations are held late. They always get delayed after every college admission. This exam is where everything starts because it is autonomous, and we can say that there is no proper system to manage the university department.
Other: If you are going to take admission here, please avoid it and take admission in a better college that is much better for you.

My sweet college in Tehatta.
Placements: This is a well-known college in Nadia. Almost 80% students got placed in B.A. Honors in history. The average package varies from 3 LPA to 6 LPA. Various companies come to our college and select the best students for their companies. About 40% student gets an internship. Many students got selected as lecturers and assistant professors in this course.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are well-designed, neat, and clean. There are CCTVs in almost all the classrooms. Digitally teaching equipment is also available. Everyone can get their necessary books related to their subjects in the library, which can help them. The hostel rooms are good. The food given in the hostel is hygienic. There are lots of opportunities in sports that students can avail themselves of.
Faculty: Teachers help us acquire in-depth knowledge about the subject. They are really helpful. During the holiday, they take online classes so that we don't miss the topics. The course curriculum is relevant. We can say the semester exams are not so tough to pass. The pass percentage is 40% overall.
Other: I am very curious about modern and ancient history, so I chose it. I feel relieved when I study the subject in depth. From history, you can know everything that happened in the past. A lot of functions like nabinbaran and agomoni are organized in the college seminar room.

Not satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: The college itself doesn't provide any placement, but it conducts a lot of seminars related to placement, from which you can try to build a connection with the recruiter. The college, on its website, has an option for placement cell but whenever you try to contact them, they don't help.
Infrastructure: For geography, the infrastructure is not that good, the computer labs are not well structured, and the geography lab doesn't have all the instruments. The computer in the lab is not working properly. Teachers are very responsible for the curriculum of the course.
Faculty: The faculty of the geography department is friendly but not that helpful, but they provide a good education. Every faculty member holds a Ph.D. in their domain, but they all rely on the lab assistant only. The class timings are not fixed. They will take classes whenever they are free.
Other: You can go for this course if you can understand the concepts of the subject, and it provides fieldwork experience.

Won't suggest anyone to take admission in this college.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed is 70%. The lowest and the average packages are 1.20 LPA and 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Amazon, and Adani Green Energy. The percentage of students who got internships is about 12%, I don't know. The top role is surveyor.
Infrastructure: Facilities are average. Labs and classrooms lack modern equipment. Wi-Fi is slow and unreliable. Sports facilities are poor and not well-maintained. I am very satisfied with this college. In this hot summer, there are just 4 fans in our classroom. We have a decent room.
Faculty: Some teachers are helpful, but some of them are very rude. Some of them use slang and do not have good behavior towards students. Some teachers are good, but other teachers don't let them be friends with us. The course curriculum is outdated. Exams are tough. The pass percentage is about 40%.

It's a distinguished college because there are a lot of activities and fun.
Placements: I think in the previous batch, something around 10 to 20 seniors got placements, and more seniors got placed through off-campus drives. The placement cell is active now for the future, and the entrepreneurship cell is also active in our college. Many brand internships are also available.
Infrastructure: The hostels, library, and instruments are all nicely maintained. The library room is fully air-conditioned, and the classrooms are under CCTV camera surveillance. All the safety and infrastructure are very good. There are nice canteens and a playing ground. Our course is very affordable for many students.
