Q:   What is the selection process for MBA programme at Kurukshetra University?

The selection process for MBA courses at Kurukshetra University begins with the CAT entrance exam. After the results for the CAT entrance exam are out, candidates are shortlisted for the personal interview round. The Distance Education B Ed is available. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (B.ED. PART-I) The eligibility conditions for admission to B.Ed.(2-year) Course through Distance Mode will be as under: - (i) Bachelor/Masters degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (47.5% in case of SC/ST/Blind/Physically Handicapped candidates) OR 55% in case of BE/B.Tech (52.25% in case of SC/ST/Blind/Physically Handicapped candidates) as per directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. (ii) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education. (iii) Candidates who have completed an NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode. (iv) The reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of Haryana Govt. (v) Only in-service teachers working in any Recognized Government/Aided/Private School/Educational Institution is eligible. NOTE: (i) The Teaching Experience Certificate will be accepted only on the prescribed proforma given at Annexure- XIII in the Prospectus. In case a candidate has served in more than one Institution (with/without break), he/she should use the photocopy of this proforma for submitting the teaching experience certificates for each institution of service. (ii) The candidates seeking admission in B.Ed. 1st Year should ensure to submit proof of Teaching Experience in a school/other educational institution duly certified by Headmaster/Principal on the prescribed format as per Annexure-XIII. (iii) There will be no rounding off the percentage of marks for determining the eligibility for admission to B.Ed. course. About decent academics but with average infrastructure.
Placements: Placements are decent here. CSE and ECE students get better opportunities with an average package of 4 LPA - 5 LPA, while core branches have fewer options. One has to work hard to get good and better opportunities. Basically, they have to focus on their skills a lot.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is simple and decent. Labs and library are good, and classrooms are basic like they are mostly non-AC. Hostel facilities are just average. The facilities provided are not very modern, but they are sufficient for academic needs.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very knowledgeable. They are quite experienced. They are generally supportive and teach very well, though the teaching style of each and every faculty member differs from one another. The course is mainly theory-based and follows the university syllabus. Exams are semester-based and are fair, but it requires regular study.

Placements: The placement in our course was approximately 80 percent. The highest package offered in our course was 22 LPA. The average package was around 5 LPA. Top Recruiting companies were ICICI PRUDENTIAL, DCB Bank, Accenture, Deloitte etc. 30 percent of students got internship.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course were good. Wi-Fi facility was available. Modern classroom with digital board and projector and modern Computer Labs also. The quality of hostel was also good. A limited medical facility was present.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful qualified and knowledgeable. The Teaching quality of our faculty members was very innovative and relatively. Course curriculum was relevant. Students were becoming industry ready. Semester examination in college was at a moderate level.

Review of Kurukshetra University for BBA and MBA integrated courses.
Placements: Students in semester 3 of the MBA can sit for placements. Ed-tech companies are a major chunk of placements. Almost 60 percent of my batchmates are placed, and others either opted out of placements or started their own business. Other students got internships in the marketing and finance areas, including companies like Motilal Oswal. The package offered ranges from 3-8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels are average and are provided with a chair, bed, study table, and fans. Hostel food is not that good. We have to just eat what is being served. Hostels can be assigned through online and offline modes.
Faculty: Our department has a good teacher-to-student ratio. Our class is divided into 3 different streams, like finance, HR, and marketing. Teachers do not use that much technology and don't have smart working classes. They are quite approachable. They are very caring and friendly. Exams are moderate, and enough time is given between exams.
Other: The university organises the Ratnavalli fest every year, and it is celebrated with a huge crowd. Every corner of the university is filled with some kinds of shows. The show depicts the traditions of Haryana and how people live and eat here.

Average, not too bad, and not too good. There are lots of fines for very small things.
Placements: There are very few students in my course because very few students choose this course. So if I talk about placement, around 10 students got placed. The average package is of 3 LPA. They got placed in the top hospitals of Faridabad, Gurgaon, etc. But it totally depends on you. How great your skills are.
Infrastructure: As I am from the nutrition dietetics department, we have well-managed labs and a kitchen. They provide us with all the ingredients we need for cooking during Energy Week. Regarding the hostel, the food quality is overall good, and we have a unique option for ticket raising if we encounter any issues. We can create a ticket, and that goes to our HoD and VC of the college. They also provide us with the solution. They conduct an open house in which our own head of college interacts with students and asks about their problems, and in that, no teacher is available.
Faculty: Teachers are actually very helpful. There are very strict rules for the classroom for both teachers and students. But the course does not make us industry-ready. Exams are not that hard. There are a lot of additional subjects we have to study.
Other: I guess they have to teach us the exact point-to-point so that we get ready for the future. There are a lot of curricular activities and a lot of opportunities in our college. They also provide us with some additional subjects, such as vocational, in which we study tech subjects like digital marketing, data analytics, etc., and they also provide us with open electives in which each department provides its course to other departments, so that any student can learn, and we can get to know about all the courses.

Placements: The placement in our course was extremely low. The jobs in our course were only government jobs, professors, and teachers. Some non-vocational jobs also include Telecaller and BPO. Approximately 20 percent of students got internship offers. Top roles were offices.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for our course were good. Wi-Fi facility was available. The library was well stocked with a huge collection of books. Modern classroom and computer labs. Basic medical facilities were available. The sports and games ground was present.
Faculty: The teacher was helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They don't teach us to explain concepts, but for a salary. The course curriculum was relevant to literature, but it doesn't have a job option in the course other than educational. The semester examination was at a moderate level.

Q:   Can I get admission at Directorate of Distance Education, Kurukshetra University for B.Ed?
A: 
The Distance Education B Ed is available. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS (B.ED. PART-I) The eligibility conditions for admission to B.Ed.(2-year) Course through Distance Mode will be as under: - (i) Bachelor/Masters degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate (47.5% in case of SC/ST/Blind/Physically Handicapped candidates) OR 55% in case of BE/B.Tech (52.25% in case of SC/ST/Blind/Physically Handicapped candidates) as per directions of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. (ii) Trained in-service teachers in elementary education. (iii) Candidates who have completed an NCTE recognized teacher education programme through face-to-face mode. (iv) The reservation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other categories shall be as per the rules of Haryana Govt. (v) Only in-service teachers working in any Recognized Government/Aided/Private School/Educational Institution is eligible. NOTE: (i) The Teaching Experience Certificate will be accepted only on the prescribed proforma given at Annexure- XIII in the Prospectus. In case a candidate has served in more than one Institution (with/without break), he/she should use the photocopy of this proforma for submitting the teaching experience certificates for each institution of service. (ii) The candidates seeking admission in B.Ed. 1st Year should ensure to submit proof of Teaching Experience in a school/other educational institution duly certified by Headmaster/Principal on the prescribed format as per Annexure-XIII. (iii) There will be no rounding off the percentage of marks for determining the eligibility for admission to B.Ed. course. (iv) Admission dues to be paid only after confirmation of admission and on demand from the Directorate after finalization of the merit list for admission to B.Ed. Part-1st.
