KSOU, Mysuru, is a state public university established in 1996. KSOU Mysore ODL courses have recently ventured into online education, offering a wide range of courses and degree programmes online. - Before receiving recognition as KSOU University, it received attention as the Institute of Correspondence Courses and Continuing Education (ICC and CE).

KSOU MBA programme is All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved and other programmmes of the university are also approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Moreover, it is a two-year full-time programme and KSOU University MBA admission is based on candidates' performance in the last qualifying examination.
