Top 10 Private Emerging Hotel Management Colleges in India 2025 as per India Today rankings is provided here. They are affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology and are under the charge of the Ministry of Tourism, GOI.

As per the India Today rankings 2024, here is the list of the top 10 private emerging Hotel Management colleges in India that were set up after 2000.

When we talk about Hotel management colleges in India we often come across the IHMs. IHMs are the Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology. They are affiliated with the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology and are under the charge of the Ministry of Tourism, GOI. Admission to these colleges is based on the National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE).

The course offered by this institute is four-years Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology Programme and the Hunar se rozgar programmes. The Institute is Accredited with "Grade -A" by NAAC , an autonomous body under UGC, as a Quality Institution. 

BCIHMCT, New Delhi is the First Hotel Management Institute affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi awarding a four-year degree in Hotel Management & Catering Technology and is approved by AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) Ministry of HRD, Government of India. Q:   What rank is required for IHM PUSA admissions?
A: 

 To get admission in hotel management programmes offered at IHM Pusa candidates belonging to different categories need to secure NCHMCT JEE rank as mentioned below:

  • Open: Within 400
  • EWS: Within 1700
  • OBC-NCL: Within 2900
  • SC: Within 5400
  • ST: Within 9900
Q:   Can I get direct admission to IHM?
A: 

The possibility of direct admission to IHM depends on the course for which you are applying. If you are applying for any degree course, you cannot apply for direct admission. To be admitted to a degree programme such as the B.Sc. you must take the NCHMCT JEE exam. On the other hand, if you are applying for any Certificate or Diploma course offered by a particular IHM, you can apply for direct admission. For instance, you can apply for the Craftsmanship Course in Food Production with a 12th grade score.

Q:   Is it necessary to give NCHMCT JEE to get admission for this course?
A: 
This is not necessary to write NCHMCT-JEE exam for Diploma courses. The five diploma courses as Diploma in food production, Food & Beverage Service, Bakery & Confectionery, Front Office Operation and Housekeeping Operation are the core areas of food and beverage operations. It is open to 12th pass students of +2 system who must have studied English language as one of the subjects. The Course duration is for 36 weeks followed by 24 weeks of Industrial Training. Admission Process: - Applications are invited by individual affiliated Institute of Hotel Management through advertisement in leading local newspapers released during the month of June each year and selection made through a transparent selection process. Each Diploma program equips students in the basic areas of specialization and institutes provide hands on training to students in the institute kitchens and laboratories.

Established in 2005, Amity University Noida is recognised by the UGC and is accredited with an "A+" Grade by the NAAC. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
