KMC is the best part of my life.

Placements: Looking back, the degree gave me a lot of flexibility. People from my batch went towards consulting, finance, analytics, research, and higher studies, rather than following one fixed career path. KMC's placement drive also had a good recruiter base. But honestly, you had to build your profile alongside the degree. Just having Economics on your CV wasn't enough.

Infrastructure: The campus had its old-DU charm, but infrastructure was never the strongest part of the experience. The library, classrooms, and basic computer facilities were enough for academics. Some older blocks clearly needed better upkeep. What I valued more was having places like Ashoka Lawn to sit around, work with friends, and spend time between classes.

Faculty: The course was academically demanding, especially once the quantitative papers started getting serious. But that was also what made it worthwhile. I found the faculty quite strong overall. Several professors were genuinely helpful when you made the effort to approach them. The curriculum gave me a solid base for both higher studies and analytical careers. Exams weren't impossible, but you definitely couldn't leave everything for the last week.

Other: The academic societies were great. Ecosoc was the oldest society in the entire DU, and being a core member of that was such an honor. Go Ecosoc.

KMC still has the charm.

A great college of Delhi University.

Placements: KMC offers reasonable placement opportunities, with students getting exposure to both on-campus and off-campus opportunities. Companies recruit from different industries, especially in areas such as business and other corporate roles. College also has a placement cell that coordinates recruitment activities.

Infrastructure: The college has a well-established campus with facilities. It includes a library, computer facilities, laboratories, and adequate sports infrastructure. There are several extracurricular activities and societies. Some parts of the campus are older and could be maintained better, but the overall environment is functional.

Faculty: The overall academic experience at KMC is quite satisfactory. Faculty members are usually approachable and have a strong understanding of their respective subjects. The curriculum covers the necessary concepts. However, students may need to study beyond classroom teaching for a deeper understanding. The examination system follows the DU framework.

Amazing college.

Placements: The placement scenario at KMC is fairly good, especially for courses such as Economics and Commerce. Students get opportunities in areas like consulting and other corporate roles. The placement cell conducts recruitment drives. It helps students connect with companies. However, getting a good package largely depends on the student's skills, internships, academic record, and overall preparation.

Good for Economics Honors.

Placements: The placement opportunities in the college are quite good. The Placement Cell is quite active. Big companies such as Deloitte, Accenture, etc., come for placements. The internships are also quite good. They provide a good package. The LPA goes up to around 30 LPA.

Infrastructure: College campus has all the basic facilities required by students. It includes classrooms, a library, laboratories, & sports infrastructure. Campus is spacious. It has a good atmosphere. Some facilities could be modernized. Hostel accommodation is limited and primarily meant for male students. Facilities are fairly basic.

Faculty: KMC has a strong academic environment. Faculty members are generally well-qualified and experienced. Classes provide a good mix of conceptual learning and discussion. The curriculum is relevant. It gives students a broad understanding of their subject. Exams are conducted according to the pattern and require consistent preparation. However, they are not overly difficult if the syllabus is covered properly.

Other: The college societies are quite great and have a good effect on the resume. They also teach us quite a lot about how to handle corporate life.

Great faculty and average infrastructure.

Placements: I believe Kirori Mal has a much better ROI when it comes to things concerning placement opportunities, at least in courses like B.Com, economics, etc. Considering you are in one of the top colleges in North Campus, a lot of companies do end up coming for placement season and deliver when it comes to recruitment.

Infrastructure: Some aspects do definitely need more improvement compared to others, mainly the physical infrastructure in the college, as it's still not up to par with colleges in a similar tier as KMC like Hansraj or Hindu. You do have to also consider that it's a government college, but it should be no excuse since it's one of the most reputable colleges in Delhi.

Faculty: The teachers are great all around, they can be a little academically demanding at times, but that is more due to the nature of the course. The examination policies in KMC are more relaxed compared to other colleges, which does push it up a notch, as the criteria for things like attendance are not as much as in other colleges.

Other: The best thing about the course is the depth with which you get to explore a lot of topics which you might have only a surface level knowledge of.

Placements: Economics has a decent placement record with students mainly finding opportunities in consulting, finance, analytics, and research. More than 130 students secured offers. The average package is 11.96 LPA. The highest package is 26.8 LPA. The lowest package is 5.56 LPA. Top recruiters include Deloitte, Accenture, BCG, EY, and ZS Associates.

Infrastructure: For Economics, the basic academic requirements are well covered. Classrooms, library resources, and computer facilities are sufficient for coursework, while the campus provides additional space for studying and group work. The infrastructure isn't exceptional but it is comfortable enough for the demands of the course.

Faculty: The Economics department has teachers who are genuinely invested in helping students understand the subject rather than just completing the syllabus. Concepts are discussed in depth, doubts are addressed well, and the curriculum has good academic breadth. Exams are conducted smoothly and test actual understanding, making regular study important.

Other: KMC fest is the best thing for me. Freshers of the economics department are a total hit. The college is so lively with events all year round.

Economics Hons is worth it!

Placements: I am a student in Economics (Hons.). Good placement opportunities are provided to students, especially in finance, consulting, accounting, and analytics. Recruiters such as Deloitte, Accenture, EY, BCG, and ZS Associates visit our campus. Overall placements are quite strong, although getting the best packages is competitive. The college reported 130+ students placed overall, with 26.8 LPA, the highest, and 11.96 LPA average CTC.

Infrastructure: A decent infrastructure is available for my course. We have classrooms, library, and computer lab. But Wi-Fi is not working properly, which is disappointing. I am not living in the hostel, so I don't know about the hostel facilities offered.

Faculty: Most teachers are really helpful, but some are not. Every teacher is qualified and knowledgeable, though. Most content in the course does not make one industry-ready. A student must upskill themselves to be able to get a job. Exams are manageable. The exams are decent but require proper studying.

Other: Economics hons has the best departmental society- ECOSOC. It's very helpful AND allows people to manage academics and society work. And being the center head at ECOSOC, I can say that the seniors are really good!

Final Selection
